vTap - Streaming Video for WM5/WM6 - Page 9

vtap is a great program but the vid play back no where as go as using tcpmp on youtube, but i still like it for the fact it doesnt freeze up my phone like tcpmp does maybe the next update for vtap their make it show better equality vid playback.

Hello prettyboal104 - There is a setting within the vTap client to play videos with higher quality. If you go to Tools/Options/Media/Media Quality, you can select "High" to view the vidoes with higher quality. This of course comes with the downside that it will take longer for the video to start playing because there is more data to be buffered. I hope this tid bit helps!

Vtap on my treo does not look like it does on the preview provided on the site (www.vtap.com). On the site, it has a screenshot of what you will be watching. On my treo, it just has the name and a brief description of the clip. Is this for all WM phones or just treos?

Hello sharpdude. I am sorry you are having a problem. You should be able to play the clips on the Treo. If you select a result, and press the center key of your 5-point key, do you not see optoins for "Play Info Related Source Share ..."?

Thanks for the reply, vtap plays fine on my treo. What I was referring to was the preview that is on the website. Nevermind, I will leave well enough alone.

i dn'led both vtap/ avot.. and when someone calls me i dont even get notified, same as with text messages can anybody help me or is this just the way these programs work. i'm running wm5 on a 6700

I just installed it on my WM6 6700 and I'm really impressed. I'm usually running on wifi at home - we only have 1x here - but even on 1x wikipedia is really fast. UTube not so much, but once the clip is downloaded it's very smooth. Thanks to whoever did this! - sheureka
