.m4b Audiobook Player

Has anyone had any luck playing an .m4b audiobook on a ppc? My understanding is that this filetype is an iTunes Audiobook. I have tried playing it on Conduits Pocket Player and on TCPMP, but cannot get any audio out of it (even with the AAC 0.66 plugin). I know the file is good, because it will play on my desktop using the vlan player.

I would prefer not to purchase a new player unless I am sure it will accomodate this format. Any suggestions?

Re: .m4b Audiobook Player

Does the file have any kind of drm? I am almost positive that I have played a m4b with tcpmp before. I will have to find a file and double check.

I'm starting to think that it might. I downloaded it from another forum, and I don't really know anything about the file. I had assumed that since it could play on vlan, that it must not have protection, but maybe vlan is able to get around that.

Come to think of it, TCPMP appears to recognize the file. I can view chapter titles in the menu. It just isn't playing the audio. There may be a rights issue.
