activesync doesnt work and cant flash??

Activesync doesnt see my phone on any computer i have tried. I put the phone into bootloader mode with the tricolor screen and tried flashing the stock rom or any other rom but it doesnt see the phone. The usb port works because it does charge the phone. The phone is unlocked because i had put mightyrom on it a while ago....anything else i can try???

This happens to me once in a while. Try rebooting your PC. If that doesn't work, reinstall activesync.

That and a soft reset of your Diamond.

as i said above, i have tried a couple of computers...actually 5 of them. I have already soft reset and hard reset several times.

Have you tried a different cable? My original HTC usb cable got a bit frayed and would only charge the phone and not connect to activesync. Try any Mini-USB cable and see if you have better luck - it doesn't have to be the specific HTC version of the plug.

I got this solution (that I should have figured out myself) after an hour on the phone with Sprint tech support. They first sent me a refurbished replacement phone, and when I called to say it still didn't work, the tech I spoke to the second time suggested the cable. I sent back the replacement and haven't had a problem since then.

I've had a similar issues on vista with WMDC where I couldn't get my diamond to mount. I read some troubleshooting guide and they suggest going into device manager and uninstalling/reinstalling the associated usb/mobile device. Another thing I had to do once was delete my partnership with the PC.

Is your phone bricked where it can't boot into the phone mode or does that part still work? If you can get to running phone mode, you might want to try changing your USB-To-PC settings?

If you have an HTC Diamond, maybe you could re-flash via Internal Storage?

Or as a long shot, maybe you could try to find someone on this forum in your city that might be able to flash the phone for you. Eliminate the possibility of a PC/Cable/Software problem by using a known, working setup.

I had this problem and here's my observation...I got it to work eventually.

1) Go to Settings / Phone / Time based notifications (tab), make sure thats turned ON.(Then reboot)

2) If its on... install memmaid (its here somewhere in forums).

In memmaid...there r different types of notifications and activesync needs them on (notification queue). It is under event-based-notifications.

In the process of resolving my choking/lagging on the phone..I had turned them off. Hence I couldnt get to connect my PPC to PC using activesync. I turned them back on again and tried connecting ... bingo! It detected the phone.

Hope my 2 cents worth of figuring this activesync issue helps others.

HELP, i tried reflashing my phone with a new rom now all it does is reboot, reboot, reboot. i've tried hard reset and it's just reboots.

phone powers up, i see Touchpro screen for about 30sec, phone turns off, vibrates, and repeat.

help?

Try shutting down the phone.. remove the battery...and leave it out for 1 min.
Then try again......

Also..since u have just flashed...I would also try holding both the buttons (green and Red) and hit the reset button (like u would do to reset). This will clean all...and reinstall the OS.

Hope it helps..and again...experts would know better.

you can always try flashing from internal mem too
