activesync doesnt work and cant flash??

I had this problem and here's my observation...I got it to work eventually.

1) Go to Settings / Phone / Time based notifications (tab), make sure thats turned ON.(Then reboot)

2) If its on... install memmaid (its here somewhere in forums).

In memmaid...there r different types of notifications and activesync needs them on (notification queue). It is under event-based-notifications.

In the process of resolving my choking/lagging on the phone..I had turned them off. Hence I couldnt get to connect my PPC to PC using activesync. I turned them back on again and tried connecting ... bingo! It detected the phone.

Hope my 2 cents worth of figuring this activesync issue helps others.
