Ok I download the appl as a first step the information to the phone. Ok I connect my phone to the PC, then in that folder I put this file. I place complete with the folder you already have?

I can't install the CAB, after run the CAB, the screen display " Installation was unsuccessful. The program or setting cannot be installed becase it does not have sufficient system permissions."
My phone is Sprint PCS HTC Touch Pro II Winows Mobile 6.5

I have a Touch Pro 2 with US Cellular. I downloaded the link from EGOvoruhk above:

HTC Wi-Fi Sharing.cab and installed it. I went to Start and the WIFI was there. I tried it the first time and my PC did not detect the network from my phone. I stopped it and started it again and my PC found it and connected perfectly. No registry hacks. No hassles. Thanx EGOvoruhk.

Same here using EGOvoruhk cab. Running Touch Diamond on Sprint (stock 6.1 ROM, most recent version downloaded from HTC site) on $40 F&C plan with unlimted data. I may never switch out my Diamond now.

NO! the reg changes are for USB tether/stealth... Stealth tethering is not for Wifi

how do you get this to install, All I get is the program shown on screen, it tries to go to and online source
