Re: need “rdp for wm6.5”
I would suggest RDM+ 3.7 instead of microsofts remote desktop client. I have attempted to use rdp on htc vogue on the sprint. And I was never able to get it to work; probably because sprint blocks rdp's ports. RDM+ while expensive is much better. It's easier to customize and it can retain login info for several computers. It even works with windows 7.
Here's the link http://www.rdmplus.com/rdm/wm/download.html For your convience I have attached an rdp cab. |

Re: need “rdp for wm6.5”
I have come to the conclusion that sprint is blocking the ports that microsofts rdp needs to connect. As a result you get no connection.
I just remembered that your phone is touch pro which unlike the vogue has wifi so try connecting to rdp over wifi instead of using sprints network. You'll probably have to disable your phone cellular radio. |

Re: need “rdp for wm6.5”
Well the solution I have used for this is to create a VPN connection and once I'm connected to my desktop via VPN start RDC.
So far, it has been flawless. EDIT: Of course, the RDC IP address has to point to the local network (192.168.x.x), not to the public IP. The VPN does need the public IP. EDIT2: Even better, with VPN and a file explorer (like resco) you can even access files and get them on your phone. From there, the possibilities are endless: you can edit them (documents), send them by email, export them to another computer (by using the TP as a flash drive or disk drive), etc...

Re: need “rdp for wm6.5”
The standard VPN that comes with the phone (Start > Settings > Connections > Set up VPN connection)
After you set it up, to use it go back to the same path as before and click Edit my VPN connection. On that screen, hold the stylus (or your finger) over the entry you created and select connect from the pop up menu. Note that it supports most VPN connections, I use the easier PPTP since it only requires the standard username/password logon. |
