Re: WMWifiRouter v1.50 Now Available

Spoke too soon. WMWifiRouter 1.5 is very unreliable with my Sprint Touch Pro.

Most of the time I get "limited or no connectivity" with Windows XP.

Also, WMWifiRouter is very slow to connect. From start to finish it takes over 2 minutes until you have a usable internet connection.

It's actually much faster to just take out a USB cable and tether via Internet Connection Sharing.

So basically you trade wireless convenience for speed and reliability.

Anyone have better luck with WMWifiRouter with other Sprint phones? Is it faster and/or more reliable with the Mogul (6800)?

No problems with my Diamond using v1.50
I have not tried wireless yet, only USB.
Will keep updated.

1st at HB no problem bro I paid for the good programs and apps if need be

And to the other poster I have zero problems with connection my touch pro to my hp running vista and I shown ppl how much faster my sprint network is than my home internet! Its Krayz fast IMO and I've upgraded to the newest one and it connected to my itouch as well! I should say reboot both your phone and pc/laptop and try again. I like wmwifirouter cause my phone is a router where ever I go and some pc's or laptop don't have BT so being able to use the wifi is a plus for me.

Re: WMWifiRouter v1.50 Now Available

I soft reset my phone all the time. WMWifiRouter is just not stable on the Touch Pro. Hopefully they fix it in the future, but I have a feeling it's a problem with the Touch Pro.

How long does it take to "aquire network address" when you try to connect to WMWifiRouter via WiFi? It takes 70-90 seconds, vs. the 3-5 seconds with ICS Tethering via USB. And the 1-2 Seconds acquiring a home Router's Wifi.

Sorry to hear this cause I have the touch pro and mines connect just fine with EVERYTHING and it connects fast. I'm running the stock rom maybe if your running a custom rom that could be the problem since some ppl had problem with wmwifirouter with a custom rom. So like you said its not stable just not on your touch pro cause it runs like a champ on mines

Re: WMWifiRouter v1.50 Now Available

Probably because I'm an early adopting fool and got a Sprint Touch Pro the first few weeks it came out.

I certainly am going to wait and see with the Touch Pro 2. Probably skip it altogether. I'm not happy that HTC looks set to release the Touch Pro 2 before fixing all the major issues with the Touch Pro.
