Can you navigate to \Windows\Startup and seeif "ASKicker.lnk" is located there?
If not, you can always turn on "AutoOn" in the ASKSettings.

Just install the cab.
It doesn't matter what the setting of that registry is.
As long as it exists, ASKicker will work right, if it doesn't exist, then it won't work right.
So you're good to go.
Just install and enjoy.

Hmmm, I'll have to check this out, the other ngiht when I was playing with it, it wasn't causing problems for me with email. Grrrrr.
I'll be working on this tonight, along with the other options too.

Sweetness.
That's a good way of doing it too,
but I have heard of some people's activesync still working unless they change the "Peak Times" to zero.
This is just the beginning of the app though, so don't be so quick to judge that it is useless please. There's tons of more options that are coming with this, and will have a bunch of different things it can do.
This is just the very first small plugin of many different plugins for my main app that I'm working on and prolly won't even have a beta of the full app till the end of the school year since it'll end up doing so many different things and will eventually get it's own UI and will be alot more efficient and everything.
I plan on taking away like ten different programs that I have to have, and will also have so many more options than just what those ten programs have.

But thanks for the alternative for people to try.

Re: The True Active Sync Fix (New Fix Created By Me)

ATTN:
I have only personally tested the v30S (30 second loop)
My friend just tried the v10S, and it is giving him errors,
I will try and figure out what's going on when I get back from a cigar break.
(I think I just didn't update a file in the cab)
Please let me know if anyone else get's errors.

I will write a quick script to stop the error pop up here in a moment.

Ah!
Got it!
So I do have to manually edit the registry and add the value you have in your first post?
Then just install one of the cabs. Right?

no, that's just there for people to check if it can run on their phone.
if your phone has that registry edit,
this program will work on your phone.

How much Mem does your app use to run in the BG every 10sec? how much battery usage does it use within an hour?

Not sure about battery, shouldn't take much.
It's only a 295 byte (yes, byte, not kb, byte) size script.
I had split the scripts up for the purpose of keeping the scripts tiny.

I personally am going to be getting a benchmarking program
(lost the previous one I had), and will be benchmarking the performance of this script with the 10 second version and will also do the same with the 30 second and then without it for a few days each.
I have have had a handful of bigger scripts
running almost as often in the background at the same time,
and haven't had any noticeable drop in battery life.
So I would assume that this tiny one won't even do anything really.

Thanks, and pick which ever one you want, and let me know.
Also, if you text heavily, search internet heavily, or any other things that could affect the battery life/etc.

I plan on trying to build a small UI later one for someone to choose their own second value and everything like that, but want to get the basis of everything all worked out.

That's precisely what I meant.
