Great, man, this worked wonderfully. I don't know how I ever got the set of duplicates (if exchange server had it first, phone had it first, or both at the same time) but it happened sometime around when I tried to do XDA_UC for the first time after a ROM flash.
Once I get un-broke, I'll make sure to donate a little for your help!

good bump, unfortunately most 'inteligent' sync sytems i've tried end up flaky in one way or another. at least most seem to err on the side of duplicates or NOT deleteing.
this is a handy tool to get rid of the pesky dups.
