I sure hope the article is correct, that would be sweet! The Opera website says 9.7 it will be available in the first half of 2009, so I say chances are the article is correct! We'll have to wait and see to be sure.

This is all speculation on my part but here goes...

Since Opera's global headquarters is located in Oslo, Norway their on CEST time, meaning their six hours ahead of US EST time. Thus, as I write this message it's currently June 8th approxmently 12:45am there. Now, to be resonable, I don't expect the developers to rush to work at midnight to post the new release, so let's give them an addition eight hours to sleep. So supposing they start their day at 8am, we'll see Opera Mobile 9.7 posted at approx 2am EST in the United States.

So who wants to take bets?

Opera normally releases products based on US time and not their time, so it would be more likely to be released at 8am eastern time vs there time.

Although I see right now all of their servers are down at the moment, both the website and ftp site.

When it's released it'll probably be located here:
ftp://ftp.opera.com/pub/opera/winmobile/

so keep checking that.

Opera normally releases products around 8 or 9am eastern time (plus or minus an hour or 2), as it would be mid afternoon their time.
