Does anyone know how to get Opera 9.7 to take the place of the stock Opera in TouchFlo on the Touch Pro? The instructions posted elsewhere do not work on the Touch Pro, nor were they meant to. The Touch Pro has some kind of interaction between Opera9.exe, OperaL.exe, and OperaPreL.exe, and some assumptions that all of these, plus other auxiliary files, will all be in the same folder.

Had a complete change on this subject, while my instructions worked on my Diamond they apparantly didnt on the Pro. So mharvey came up with some instructions that work on both the Diamond and the Pro.

Ok, I'm thinking it's pretty great, except that it freezes rather often. I love the speed on Turbo.

does anyone have flash working in theres, with turbo off mightys signiture (mighty mouse emplem thing that spins) spins. And also the headbang icon thing bangs his head.... no flash installed either, but its working on my wifes 9.7 too.

Sorry to be slightly offtopic, but does anyone have any guesses with what opera intends to announce tomorrow? I mean they're making a pretty bold statement on their website that they are going to "reinvent the web". Just curious to what you all think about that.

Yeah, please do. i keep hearing (reading) theories that it'll have something to do with "cloud computing". Which, is way over my head. I find the whole statement of "reinventing the web" to be pretty fascinating. Either is gonna be way super cool, or a big let down. imo

The entire Opera Unite thing sounds kind of cool, I wonder if they'll ever bring it over to Opera Mobile.

It sure does. The big draw back is that you have to use opera desktop :/ I would love to see a mobile version. I was a opera desktop user for almost a decade, and just got fed up with pages not loading right and opera's response that it's sloppy page code not a problem with opera. They carry a version of this mentality by keeping their mobile clients in beta forever. Anyways I went back to 9.5 15954 I was really hoping 9.7 was going to cut down of the number of builds in the wild. Way too many.

Have you tried the new Desktop 10 beta with Unite that just came out? Fixes most of the problems Opera has had in the past including the page rendering issues, now I have yet to find a page that doesn't render correctly with Opera.

and as far as the # of builds for 9.5, Opera has a deal with HTC (and other manufacturers) to provide Opera Mobile to their devices, so each device has a separate build number, we will probably see the same thing with 9.7 soon enough.

Just tried the new Opera Unite. I agree, it would be great if there was a mobile version, and we could easily share files and notes and all that.

As it stands, for me, it's not that useful. I'm keeping Chrome as my main browser.

Can anyone Else confirm Flash working? Without turbo on Mighty Mikes Mighty Mouse Emblem thing/signature spins and all the headbang and funny guy icons are moving? Everyone I know its not working for them, but me and my wifes are viewing small flash content?

No problem, I honestly forget which build it is that has the zoom control on the side (it's the ones that came from the Omnia) but hopefully that thread will point you in the correct direction.

if im not mistaking you will see small animations on certain web pages when turbo is off, but as far as streaming video its a no go...
