yes I have an answer... as google voice is not "true" voip it uses a callback feature giving you an extra line which you may route to any "other" line you may have whether it be land or cell.


So you can dial your google voice over wifi you cannot call from a handset that does not already have active phone line attached too it...


I hope this crystalizes the fog
