agreed. fennec is slow and jumpy compared to opera atm. i like the interface, but its too early in dev to start using it. maybe when beta or final release it will be good to go.

Re: FireFox Fennec now available for WinMo!!

This alpha has been out some time....

Think there's already a beta for the Nokia platform...

I've tried this one at 25 some megs...and it is barely functional...

I'm pretty sure this alpha just came out, check this on engadget:
http://www.engadgetmobile.com/2009/0...in-alpha-form/
And this on the Mozilla blogs:
http://blog.mozilla.com/blassey/2009...indows-mobile/

Both of those were posted today.
I think you are thinking of the pre-alpha that was leaked some time ago...

I totally agree. Its like I'm on broadband when I use OperaMini. For sites that don't work with OperaMini I usually use Iris browser or OperaMobile. My first and foremost browsing is via OperaMini. Lightning fast browsing.

Re: FireFox Fennec now available for WinMo!!

i agree fennec is far behind iris opera skyfire and pie on the wm browsing tip. dont waste your time downloading let alone taking up space on your storage with this build of fennec. it doesnt do anything that the beta video running on the nokia shows. it doesnt even zoom properly let alone being able to play flash video as they show with that particular video. then to top it off i exit it out and notice my ram sitting at 64% and i see nothing running on the native task manager app, so i open up a different task manager and check the underlying programs running and sure enough its fennec just eating away at my memory. not only was the browser slow but it was a bad influence on the rest of my phone. if it can come close to the demo showed with the beta video i would welcome fennec as browser choice to my tp but for now check it if you have to but i suggest dont waste the finger flicks.
