Re: FingerPrint Security

The TP can be used since it has lighting which can do it. As for using the camera, its very possible for a photo around 1 inch away with the TP + camera light in use, combined can give an image that's readable and comprehensible, the light (Hopefully) makes it useable in all situations.

I'd still want a password system backup, incase it fails to read my print.

Re: FingerPrint Security

a hard reset pretty much would cancel out the benefit of that now wouldn't it...

yea, but if you want to protect the data on your phone, a hard reset would do the same thing...now if i could remotely hard reset my device, that would be awesome as well....and i love the fingerprint idea, but my fingers are too ****in fat to be of any use to a scanner....i tried on my moms computer for 4 hours (i was bored at work)...

as a side note, since im on Sprint...I have crime deterrent

Finger scanner is kind of broken too, anyone watch the episode of Mythbusters when they were able to use a photocopied finger print to defeat the scanner. I know, first you have got to get the finger!!!

yeah, well if people don't wipe off their fingerprint scanners,
the type the you touch, you can lift the fingerprint
and use it to open it as well.

Also, alot of the remote tracking programs out there will allow you to wipe them. try over at xda, they have one that you can send a text from a computer and it will send back gps coordinates and then you can send other commands through texts including wiping the harddrive.

My rom will have the one from xda cooked into it.
