any way to choose which number the quick photo dialer tab dials? i added a contact with multiple numbers (home, work, work2, etc), and it's dialing the one i wouldnt use 90% of the time.

Okay, I can't get this to work at all. I found the .cab file and installed this version of the HTC Home Plugin, after uninstalling the version I was previously using. That worked fine.

I cannot find a .cab file for the Customizer. Maybe there isn't one? Anyway, I found the .exe file that it says to run, but it won't let me unzip it. I can't run it using Total Commander. I'm trying to follow the instructions, but I just can't seem to get this right. Any ideas??

EDIT: Nevermind, I figured it out. Sorry about that, I'm just hella stupid...

Please help ! I have installed the plugin on my German HTC Touch and it shows only 4 Tabs. When I add new porgrams to the luncher the Touch performs an error and softreset.

Here is something else to add. I found confirmed this over at xda and checked for myself.

You can change the Date layout on the Home plugin by changing this reg:

For instance, I changed it to dddd MMM dd, yyyy and my screen now shows Saturday Aug 04, 2007.


However, this will cause problems if you do the hack like me that places the time and date always on top on the top bar. As you can see, this is not acceptable. I think I can fix this and should have something solid this evening.

One thing to test about that date change is how it affects other apps. One thing to test is the affect on pOutlook and messges. I cannot really test since I do not have service on my Apache anymore. If someone could report on how using a longer date changes stuff on their phone, that would be helpful

You can unzip it on your computer and copy the folder to your 6800 via activesync or directly to your microSD if you are using a card reader with it.

I decided to work on the downloading of appearance packages through the program, and what do you know, I got it working. Currently, I have it set up as another option in the program's menu. I need some volunteers for beta testing the new feature and I'll need somewhere to host these files after testing is over. If anyone is interested in testing or can offer the hosting (here or otherwise), PM me.

can you do a feature to add custom icons? i wanted to use iphone icons. that would be great.

You can add custom icons. You will need to convert or find a set converted for the Home plugin, then you can drop the folder into <HHC path>\FILES\icons. They will appear in the Appearance->Icons menu.

If you're going to covert them yourself, the images you will be replacing are all the HH_FW_icon*.png files. Open one those files and use it as a template for your new images.

A question...I noticed with HTC Home, if I add more content to the Today screen that will fit on the actual screen, a vertical scroll bar appears (makes sense).

My problem...the scroll region includes the HTC Home plugin. Not only does it scroll, but the scroll bar obscures part of the Home graphics.

I noticed in screenshots from the 'colonel" that his Today screen keeps the HTC Home plugin out of a scrollable region below.

Any suggestions appreciated, in the meantime, I'll keep looking in the forums.

I installed the home plugin and then unziped the customizer to a folder but when I try t orun the exe it says home plugin not installed, then i click x and it says the process will take a few minutes, but nothing happens? what do I do? thanks guys.

Sorry about the "few minutes" prompt, was leftover from v0.6(a). v0.7 doesn't install the plugin anymore, so you'll have to make sure your home plugin is working prior to launching the software. As far as not finding the plugin, that means your HTCHome.dll is missing. It sounds like you're running WM5 and using colonel's package. If so, after you install the cab, you have to manually copy the 4 extra files (which includes HTCHome.dll) from the package into the \Windows folder in order for the plugin and the customizer to work properly. Let me know if this fixes your problem.

BTW, the "few minutes" message will be removed from the next version, my oversight :D

i have a problem. my icons in my launcher will change but the 6 tab icons wont. any help?

so it turns out I am an idiot.

after an hour of trying to figure out why I couldn't get this installed, it dawned on me maybe there is attachment I am not seeing. I forgot I just got my computer back after a crashed HD and none of my sites are automatically logged in anymore. Low and behold, I was right once I logged in. I was killing myself trying to figure out why the cabs on rapidshare were only installing the plugin. I must have re-read the first post 20 times too.

thanks for the reply, I was running the wm5 version of the home plugin, after I reinstalled the wm6 version you supplied a link to it worked perfectly. now Im just trying to figure out all the customization. thank you sir! :D

so if i have an older version of HTC touch, according to your post on xda , i'll need to uninstall it for this to work properly?

That is correct. You need a newer kaiser version of the home plugin rather than the older touch version.

Any way to change the color of the date and sprint logo?

Running this on WM5 (6700) right now. Works perfectly. This'll cause me to rebuild my ROM (which I just completed on Friday.)

For the guy asking about scrollbars... Go to HTC Options, Today Locking, choose Lock, then OK. This will lock it in place. Now your scrollbars will only show up for the items below the plugin.

my question is how did you all get the black top and bottom bars on the screen? I would like them for my mogul but only have the oem windows themes?

goto pocketpcscreens.com they have a theme gernerater that will help you out and create .tsk files for you. check that out.

Is there any way to make the clock more transparent-making it easier to see the hott girl on my theme? :-P

I did a search, but didn't find my answer. What is the benefit of Audio manager over Windows media? i had installed the one that was accidentally left in the Home plug in Cab, but ididn't see any benefit with it over WMP.

I installed this, and now when I click on "Launch Music Player" it loads up that awful WMP instead of the Audio Manager. I did the registry tweak

change music player value.. from 1 to 2

N/m to my above post, i thought both audio manager files were the same. Audio manager is more user friendly.

And my favorite feature, it allows you to easily clip music files into smaller ringtones!

after I create a tsk file for today theme's how do I install .tsk's?

You can drop them in the \Windows directory or anywhere in \My Documents (I myself use the "Personal" folder, don't use it for anything else), then load it from Settings->Personal->Today->Appearance (or click on the tsk file after you move it, and it will take you to the Appearance tab).

hey thanks emunutz! do you know If I can choose which # it dials when I choose a friend from my favorite people tab on my home plugin?

i think it dials whatever number is listed first in the profile. if you want to rearrange the numbers try moving them around. i believe home is the first number. trying moving that to the home 2 or 3 slot in the profile for the contact. i havent tried this but i believe this is it determines what it dials. try that and see if it works and let us know.

or just put them on your storage card in no folder and the today selection will pick it up there. i put all of the ones i have right on the storage card. no issues yet.
