I'm forever accidentally touching the time in the display, which opens the alarms and time properties page. Is there any way to disable that screen from opening? Just wishing...

Capt how did you change your name in the today screen & get it to stick?

It's a registry key change for the carrier line and it will not stick indefinitely. You need a script or app that checks that registry entry and changes it as needed. Mortscript can do this if you write a simple script.

Hi, I really like this program because it makes my clock so much easier to read and I like the tabbed thingy too.

I'd love it if you could work an AutoLock into it though, like it locks the phone after so many minutes idle, because when I press the lock button it locks on the screen it's on, and normally I like to see the clock screen so I at least know what time it is. Like I could map it to a hard button or just it goes to sleep.

Oh, and date slightly bigger too? ooops, sorry, that's two request. :)

Can I make personalized Launcher icons without being bound to the HTC naming scheme?

I don't need HH_LAUNCHER_32x32_photos.png, I need
HH_LAUNCHER_32x32_psShutXP.png and other items but I don't know if they'll register as such.

Any thoughts?

By the way, this application is fantastic. It worked right off the bat for me with the 6 tab plugin (down to 4) and my Apache. I appreciate the time and dedication you've put into this for everyone.

Hey, Ok, I have installed HTC Home, and the Customizer v.7, but i cant seem to find the homecust.exe, it just shows the .cab file within the zip file.

I extracted it on my PC, and moved it to my mogul. But i've read, and read, and still i cant seem to find the answer to my problem. Thanks.

Got it up and running...SWEET! As a PPC noob I really appreciate the efforts that have been put in to help us all out so much. I am still trying to find the cool black background (I thought that was a standard w/ the HTC...but obviously it's not in these files) and need to figure out what else I want to add to the phone (software).

I've read thru this thread, uninstalled and installed directly from the 'links' menu in the folder, and the same thing happens to me that is talked about above.

I haven't seen an answer or tip to address this problem.

*update, I can change the number of tabs... but I am unable to change any of the appearance items.

The tab setting is a registry key, so that explains why there are no problems there. It sounds like you had a previous version installed and when removed, it left something behind that the customizer "detects" as the incorrect install directory. So when you try to customize the plugin, the files are getting copied to the wrong directory. I hope this helps you out. If you need further assistance, PM me.

if I have something left from a previous version, what is my next step? I'm pretty sure I removed the older versions, but will double check when I get home.

When I get new email on my 6700, the first icon under the clock on the home screen shows I have a new message. When I click on the icon, it takes me to MMS, not my email inbox.

I assume that it is supposed to notify of new MMS messages, not email. But since it's notifying me of new email messages, is it possible to have it open to my email inbox instead of the mms inbox?

The AudioManager is not working on my device (ASUSP535). I installed the AudioManagerWM6.cab file. Could anybody help me? Thanks anyway for the programs. Now, I have a good looking today screen :)

i have the htc already installed in a new ROM i just flashed (pheonix06_C_S) and i can not get the customizer to work. i unzip the file which has a zipped file within. then i unzip that and transfere all of the files to a folder on my ppc. i can not get the file to unzip on my ppc. is that the issue???

1) u shouldn't b unzipping it on ur ppc, it's always best to do it on ur computer.
2) there's only one .zip file in the first post, once u open that .zip file, take the folder "HTC Home Customizer" and move it to ur SDcard and that should b it. After that u open up the "HTC Home Customizer" folder in ur SDcard and go from there.

You must have the Home plugin installed prior to running the customizer, or the customizer will not run. The next release will have an option to download and install the plugin directly to the phone.

schen released a 2.0 version of the Kaiser Home plugin with a bunch of fixes like:

-Full functional profiles
-Ability to choose phone number for contact tab

Otherwise seems the same. I just tested it with the test v0.8 and everything worked perfectly, including weather (had to soft reset to get it going), tab order, and all appearance settings. This should also work with v0.7 of the customizer as well!

This is for Windows Mobile 6 only, check it out here.

I just unintalled colonel 6tab and tried to install the Kaiser.HTC.Home.v2.0.720719.cab but for some reason it doesn't show anything on the today screen. It shows that it's installed and i can c it in device, but it's not showing up... any idea?

I should have mentioned it's only for WM6, sorry bout that.
