First, when you go to Accuweather, are you able to retrieve your weather? (I know, dumb question, but I have to ask)

Next, after applying the Custom setting, when you pull up htc.accuweather.com which page are you getting, the Accuweather website or the error page? If it's the Accuweather website, that means your device is not reading the entry to redirect to the alternate weather server. The key is to make sure the data connection is dead (even if you have to soft-reset) when following workaround instructions in the OP.

If none of that works, you probably have a proxied data connection and this causes problems with pulling local weather. There's a lot of talk about this topic on the XDA forums, and I'm not sure there's a workaround (other than adding the hosts reg key, which the customizer does) unless you use N2A's patched cab (which seems to work through those connections). I have the HTC home plug-in and downloaded .7 (customizer) to SD, I searched for the homecust.exe (tap it) and nothing executes.......

any thoughts????

homecust.exe should just run. if you extracted it from the zip it goes into the htc cust folder on the storage disc. did you try a reboot(even though I dont think its required).... did you run the exe file? just asking.. since there are 2 homecust files... u want to run the ones thats 8.50k

thanks for the help....... Homecust.exe (8K) does not execute the files stays highllighted with no further action. I deleted it and tried it again....nothing........ Even rebooted ....

I think I might need a previous version of the home customizer before I load V.07. I think I have some searching to do......

do we need to download version 0.6 and 0.7 in order for it to work? I looked everywhere, but the version 0.7 have been removed. are there any stability issue with 0.7? if that is the case, should we just use the 0.6 only then? can you upload the 0.7 or PM me please j0ph? Thanks!

Me, personally would not use version 0.7..seemed very unstable to me..constant freezing and long load times & WMP loading up instead of Audio Manager (after registry tweak)..etc. WILL WAIT til' new version comes out

The download link for v0.7 is in the first post in this thread. You have to be logged in to see the download link.

You do not need v0.6 installed in order to use v0.7. You DO need the HTC Home plugin installed in order to use either version, and v0.6 came with the installer for the plugin. This has been removed from v0.7 on because the customizer now supports multiple versions of the plugin, and there is not one version that works on every phone.

If you need the HTC Home plugin, please see the links just above the screenshots in the first post, they will point you to the files you need.

The problem is on a scratch load of V.07 the HomeCust.exe does not work even with the HTC Home Plug-in installed for WM6. I downloaded the HTC Home Plugin form the first page, then proceeded to load V.07. Saved it to a SC card, looked for HomeCust.exe (8.5 k), tapped on it and it does nothing........... any thoughts?????
