With this HTC Home Plug-in, will you be able to flip through the screen using your fingers like the HTC Touch or iPhone, or you will just have the layout and not the actual features the HTC Touch have?

I have read basically the entire thread, but still need help, sorry.
When I go to Landscape mode, the scroll bar appears on the right. After going back to Vertical mode, the area to the right (where a scroll bar would be) has a blank space, cutting off the HTC homeplugin.
Any idea how I can fix this?

If you go into your messages and click on Outlook(not SMS), and close the messages program. Your setting will be automatically set to Outlook from now on(until you click on SMS and close the program again)

It's a .cab file. You need to transfer to your ppc, and open from there. The program will install itself.

Saving HHC Customizations
 

Morning all,

I am using the HHC 1.0b5 with the HTC 2.1 plugin. I have customized everything, including color icons and themes. How can I save these changes so as to add them to a personal OEM. This way when I flash my phone the customizations come back. I have been able to save some of the changes, like custom weather, 5 tabs instead of 6, and launcher changes. Upon inspection of the registry I do see a section under the HHC section of registry that contains the icon changes, etc. Do I just export that piece and include it in my personal OEM and the changes will be there upon flashing without the HHC actually being installed as part of the flash process?

Lastly does anyone have a functional OEM for the HHC? I am trying to put one together but am having issues with the registry.

I'm just curious... Are the problems that come along with this ever going to be fixed?! I mean, I LOVE the way I can make my 'Today Screen' look with this program, but now, my phone just freezes every 5 minutes, and takes like 20 minutes to come all the way back from a soft-reset. I've had to perform a Hard-Reset around 10 times, and I always try this program again just in case, but it always does the same thing...

I've got the newest available ROM Update, does that hurt/help anything?

I too have problems with this amazing app. In my case I am using the Beta version (older version didn't work well for me at all), with this version it sometimes takes me 10 tries to be able to change icons. I select the new icons, then when I go to save changes, it just hangs there for a LONG time. Eventually I am forced to simply close out the app while it is still saving (after about 10 minutes). If I jiust keep trying this enough times eventually it takes.

Unfortunately I think the developer is no longer working on it. There has not been a new version out in a VERY long time, and I saw on his site that there are some posts from MONTHS ago that have never been addressed.
it's a real shame, this is such an amazing app, I bet if he could have perfected it he could have sold it and made some money out of his hard work.

I have the beta version installed on the Tilt. It does work, but is somewhat buggy. Still though, it's worth the hassle, because it does make Today look wonderful :)
You just run the cab on your device, and install to main memory.

What other programs are you using ?

Is there anyway to get the puma series of clocks to just be solid? I went into the directory and copied the clock jpeg's or gif's or whatever they were onto my comp and edited them in photoshop then replaced the originals on my phone, however that didn't work. I restarted and tried to select a different clock then go back to the white puma clock and it didn't seem to fix anything.. Do they files happen to be copied to another directory on install or something? Or should that have worked hypothetically?

Sorry guys about bringing this up again as I know its been discussed before. But I have the htc home plugins install for wm6 which is working properly but I don't know how to access the customizer after the install. I installed the customizer and now nothing. How do I access itd I opened the zip file and tapped homecust.exe but nothing happens.

That's all I was running this last try when it locked up my phone AGAIN. It's a shame that nobody is working on this anymore. Guess I need to find a new Home Plugin... I was using that HTC Plus, but it's so boring. *sigh* This sucks...

*sigh* It really sucks that I can't use this anymore. I mean, it had a way of fitting in perfectly with every .tsk I have. All the customizations were great, and it looks so slick. Unfortunately, I don't think anyone has worked on this for a very long time, so I guess I'm just screwed?!

What I don't understand is why it has always worked perfectly for me up until a few months ago. All of a sudden, it just decided that it would ALWAYS lock up my phone. I didn't even add any new programs. I had everything the way I wanted it, then BOOM! LOCKED UP!

So I downloaded this (version 0.8) onto my Sprint Touch yesterday along with the UItweaker. I was having fun till I couldn't figure out the weather thing. So I reset my phone and started over. No big deal. So I read the entire 47 pages of this thread and decided to download the newer version from the pocketemu site. Now, bear in mind that I am not running any other programs. Only the ones that are stock on the phone, nothing 3rd party. I install it, I run it, I make my settings and then it says it has to restart for the changes to take effect. Ok. Then, it powered on like normal and got to the windows mobile screen, just before the phone loads up, and the pinwheel NEVER comes. The phone sat for almost an hour and it never loaded up. It just sat on that screen doing nothing. The LED was blinking green and the buttons were lit up but nothing ever happened. The phone never came on. I tried to soft reset it thinking that it was frozen but nope. I had to finally take my SD card out of the phone and then press the green button to go back to factory settings. Anyone ever hear of THIS happening and what the heck I did wrong? ](*,)

Wow, I'm jealous of you guys that have gotten this to work. I've installed and tried to change something and it never changes. Never leaves the "Enabling plugin" screen. Never does a thing. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.

Works awesome! Thanks! I am using the 1.0 beta. could never get the weather working though, so I removed that tab and all is fine.. I have downloaded through the customizer (using wifi) different clocks, backgrounds, icons flawlessly!
I use a VZW xv6800 stock rom...

I have used both version .08 and the beta and they both seem to work great for me. However, I was having issues with the weather too but there is a patch for it. Here is is patch that I used and everything works fine. Hopefully it will work for you guys (btw, you obviously have to have a data connection or it will time out regardless).

is there a version of this program that will work with the ppc 6700 sprint phone? I have the HTC_home application on my phone but i cant get the customizer to work, what can i do so i can be abe to use this program?

I've searched and searched, I can't find how you can get rid of the stupid little icons that show up on my contact's pictures on the HTC Home Plugin...

I don't need the little "cellphone" or "house" to tell me which type of number I'm calling, it just blocks up my picture...

How can I get rid of these? Aside from having a contact with one number because I don't want that either... Is it possible?

Can someone answer this question. I'd like to edit the vibrate profile to make it vibrate and ring. Is that possible.

I installed this on NexVisions Hybrid rom and it just freezes when it loads. Anyone else have this kinda problem.

All this app does is customize the appearance of the HTCHome Today plug-in, it is not a task manager or anything else

Once you install and run the HTC Home Customizer there is an option in the tabs across the bottom called 'downloads', select this and you can choose bg(backgrounds) clock, icons, weather appearance updates to download through your PPC. The downloads will go to the proper folders and be available after a soft reset.
