TCPMP help

I have an HTC Touch (Sprint). I have downloaded wvd, new version of TCPMP and the flashbundle and I still can't get TCPMP to play correctly. Everything was downloaded in the same folded on my storage card. TCPMP runs very slow and choppy. The sound is also distorted. It used to work great before the upgraded ROM. What am I doing wrong? Is it the setting in TCPMP? Thanks.

Hey,

In WVD, the only videos that seem to work smoothly are the 3gp files. the others are hit or miss. You can also save them and try to play them rather than streaming which may improve performance but once again, it's not guaranteed. Certain flv files will play well as well. Regarding the settings, this is a good question that I have asked as well. Most people say that it's already preset with the correct buffering, prerun, etc settings but I am not sure. I know way back on an older phone that tcpmp worked well but it was recommended to increase the buffering size to 5000 or so and prerun down to 7%. Honestly Tcpmp worked better on my older phone but that is probably because the videos less resolution. If you want to learn more about the latest tcpmp, check out Technology 1 thread in the touch pro forum. He is the expert on this and you can try his upgraded player.

I use the youtube play for ppc to play the flv files and it works great!
