Re: GrandCentral = Google Voice. Includes SMS!
I'm sure it'll remain free, Google tends to make their products free of charge, and will probably incorporate their ads into it somehow to make money.

Re: Google Voice includes SMS! (The old GrandCentral)
This does sound great. My account has yet to be upgraded, but I'm sure it will be soon.
I'm looking forward to seeing if this can be used as a replacement to forwarding my Verizon Touch Pro to youmail.com EDIT: On second thought, I don't see anyway to use it as a voice mail service only. If I forward my cell to it, it wants to ring another phone. I don't see anywhere that I can just say take a message instead of calling out. Maybe the do not disturb option? Re: Google Voice includes SMS! (The old GrandCentral)
Where the op said free is taken directly from google and is talking about the new service not gc, so free it be.
I am amped for this though. I never got in on gc and have forever been regretful about it. |

Also here is a link to the signup https://services.google.com/fb/forms/googlevoiceinvite/.
They say if you already signed up for an invite from gc you should be fine but I sent one anyway. |
This post has been thanked 1 times. |
