Thanks so much for this! I had been using Opera with Flash and only got one or two frames per second. The playback this way is just about perfect.

One thing to mention is you need to use IE instead of Opera. I tried with Opera and got a very long unintelligible error from TCPMP. I tried again in IE and it worked with no problem.

Is anyone ele having trouble with the site? I can search but when I click on the video I get a page cannot be found or asp error. It started last night, worked fine before that.

yea, i just tried this for the first time last night and i just thought it didnt work.

Same 'Page cannot be found" message this morning. Anyone know what the problem is?

Hey guys, check the original thread over at Treocentral (Mal linked it in the first post of this thread).

There are some issues with the search site, and an issue with the plugin as well, which the guy who modded the plugin is trying to resolve.

I've also got a project in-the-works, but too early yet to release anything...

This process does work. I get the errors sometimes as well, but you just have to try again.

Thanks, Colonel. I get all the way to the search results and then the error message keeps coming up when I select a file. This was working sooo well too...

zbop, thanks for making the connection available in the first place and for reminding me about the TreoCentral thread. I'll be waiting to see what you come up with. YouTube certainly beats the tabloid magazines when I'm waiting in line at the supermarket checkout.

I haven't gotten it to work once since last night. Oh well, hopefully they'll get it resolved soon. For what it's worth www.mobetube.com is a good mobile YouTube site. The only downside is that if you select streaming it won't open TCPMP. However I've been able to save the .flv files and then play back in TCPMP so it's not all bad.

They updated the site and the TCPMP plugins. It's now www.mobytube.net. It's working again and also searches Google Video, and you can sort searches by different criteria.
