XCPUScalar Overclocking Program.

XCPUScalar is an awesome overclocking program. It speeds up your 6700 and makes it runs smoother. It is much easier than Pocket Hack Master and requires less time to set up. On mine the highest I could run it at was 520MHz, any higher would freeze my phone. It makes your phone run the way that it should. I have attached the cab.

Download The Trial Here

If you would like information on how to get the full version PM me.

don't have a version to share but just fyi, overclocking programs right now will signifiantly kill the battery life on this device.

if that's fine than obviously no big deal, but it has been shown that even underclocking with these programs uses twice as much power as not using them, which is pretty crazy.

The developer of PHM (Pocket Hack Master) is working on a WM5/2006 version, which is in early beta right now, that should address these issues.

the main problem is this: our CPU autoscales and we don't have any control over it. So "overclocking" tends to fight with the internal scaling of the processor (which we used to be to disable in PPC 2003) causing large power consumption and possibly stability issues.

Good to know.

I'll probably try it out tonight and my post my thoughts as well.

btw, here is a link to that power-consumption thread: Post #7 is interesting.

well I have mine set to autoscale so when cpu loads hits 40% it will raise the cpu up to 520 MHz, any lower than 40% and it stays at 416MHz.

malatesta I checked out that thread, he did do a great test and if the results are true, which I'm sure they are. Then it really makes no sense in overclocking unless playing games and such. I wonder I'd the same holds for XCPUScalar. ?

Can you really tell the difference by overclocking it? If it kills the battery then I can't afford it. I barely make it through the day with a single charge. If the new version will address this battery issue then I am all for it. But as right now, I can't afford to lose any battery life.
