Lightweight GPS Tracking

Years ago when I had a Nextel, I used MoloGogo to display my current location on my webpage. I travel a lot and it's a good way for my family to know where I'm at, plus it's pretty cool. I actually landed my current job because I "Wowed" them with that capability.

MoloGogo works with WinMo phones as well, but it doesn't update if the phone is asleep, isn't very lightweight (a couple of megs of RAM) and has a couple of other small bugs that seem to affect me.

I'm looking for a small app that perferabily can grab my GPS coordinates (every 15 minutes or so) and send them to a custom URL, or has it's own GoogleMaps interface (third party application) that I can embed. I would also settle for Google Latitude if someone knew of a lightweight client that does just the latitude tracking.

Any suggestions would be appreciated....

Thanks,
Doug

Re: Lightweight GPS Tracking

i would like this also. when google latitude came out i thought i found just what i was looking for. then i found out that it didn't update itself unless the program was running. i need a phone that will last longer then 1 hour so now i'm back at square one.

Re: Lightweight GPS Tracking

Well as for light weight, I think you're s.o.l. there are several aps that can do this though. Navizon is one, and you can make a few buck with it as well (check my sig from my profile, I'm posting mobile atm), google maps can too, and I think gpsToday can as well.

Re: Lightweight GPS Tracking

I don't know about light weight but the slickest gps program for this is probably TrackMe. Although its free, you might think about making a donation to the developer.
