Re: Dashwire Vs MS Myphone

I just got prompted to download and install a myphone update. Anyone know what the update has? channel log?
Someone tell me if Im wrong but I noticed it does not back up my favorites on my People tab. If I have it back up my pics if backs up every single pic on my phone. like all these weird tiny images that are used for programs. Is there a way to have it only back up pics from a certain folder? It does not back up my email account. I have to "add new account" once its done after flashing a new ROM. And my call history is not restored. Are all 3 of these things excluded by MyPhone?

Re: Dashwire Vs MS Myphone

anyone else get their texts all out of order and messed up when restoring? I got about 4k texts which I know is a lot but after about 1-1.5 hours that it took to restore everything they are all out of order date-wise.

Re: Dashwire Vs MS Myphone

I love Dashwire for the following reasons:
  • Awesome web interface
  • Unlimited storage (MyPhone gives you a paltry 200MB in an age of cloud storage)
  • Text via PC
  • Call via PC (would love VoIP or Click2Call functionality for open source PBXs, which they are aware of)

Me no likey Dashwire for the following reasons:
  • A lot of my data on their system has made my web portal slow.
  • The client takes up too much RAM
  • The client I think keeps a data connection persistent which kills the battery (I'd like the new "send-an-encrypted-txt-msg-to-device-to-make-it-act" methodology better)
  • It doesn't start as a "service" (if there is such a thing) in the background, which means upon boot the device has to wait for it to completely load before any actions could be taken.
