Re: FREE Programs that sync contacts, calendars, etc, (Updated 3/5)
You forgot 2 critical ones!
Google sync - calendar, contacts (I use WLWM for contacts though) - actually google is running an exchange server! Windows Live for Windows Mobile - push live/hotmail, push contacts When there's native support, why bother with 3rd party? Dashwire is nice, but lacks calendar and batch editing contacts. Also, Dashwire has not been updated for a while now... Seven IMO is buggy and their servers are often overloaded (at least from my experience ~6 months ago). WLWN I've been using for a while, google just recently came out with WinMo sync, testing it now... |

In my opinion Google Sync works the best for my needs! This is a great thread with some good useful info.

Re: FREE Programs that sync contacts, calendars, etc, (Updated 3/5)
I have been using MyPhone for bout a week now and really enjoy the syncing of tasks and documents. Did not like the MS Live for my phone as it did not have many options and kind of made me feel like it took over my phone. I didn't like that at all. Backing up texts is not important for me, but if I had a dime for every time a customer blamed Sprint for not being able to transfer their old text conversations...
I've been using Nuevasync for a good while now and feel that it's integration with Gmail makes it the real winner as Gmail has handy merge techniques for managing ur contacts.

First post updated with plaxo, official MSFT tutorials, NuevaSync supports up to 11 calendars, etc...
Please let me know if I'm missing something, or if my info is wrong/outdated. |

Re: FREE Programs that sync contacts, calendars, etc, (Updated 3/24)
Mesh is quite nice but still a little clunky on the mobile side. All in all, mesh is awesome for a beta but the 10MB file size auto-sync limit is driving me insane!
![]() Myphone would be perfect if it wasn't for that crappy 200 MB storage limit. If MS would couple Livemesh with MyPhone and make the filesize limit 200MB, I'd be in heaven. |
