Re: Google Sync
Open up your Gmail account, then in the upper-left corner select the "Inbox" drop-down menu and open your "Outlook E-mail" folder. You should see an Exchange Welcome e-mail there.

Re: Google Sync
Thanks...since I didn't actually even have the gmail account set up in the native email system (I use flexmail), I had to manually add it, then delete the message both from the gmail account, and then the outlook dropdown...now the indicator is gone and I deleted the acct again from the native email system...thanks a mil for the specifics on the tip...

Re: Google Sync
After a lot of trial and error I discovered the upgraded HTC album found in the thread below was causing the problem. I eventually hard reset and started installing apps one by one, testing Activesync each time. It's definitely the HTC album that's doing it, so if anyone else is having problems and has it installed, try removing it.

Re: Google Sync
all the info about syncing multiple calendars seems to be for the iphone.
so I'm guess this can't be done yet for WM? annoying! |

Re: Google Sync
I was able to get my phone to sync very easily thanks to all the great instructions, but now I'm worried that I don't have a data plan and am syncing regularly. Does anyone know if Verizon charges you to sync to google calendar through active sync?
also, I have a palm treo and once the sync starts and it connects to the network, it doesn't disconnect on its own. Is there any way to get it to disconnect automatically when it's done? Thanks!! |

Re: Google Sync
Verizon (like other carriers) will charge you for every single byte of data you transfer over their network. I highly suggest you get a data plan. A WM smartphone will easily cost you more in per kb charges than if you get a monthly plan.

Re: Google Sync
even if you're connecting via active sync?
I've been searching for hours....is it possible that after you sync your palm treo (windows mobile) to the network that it doesn't disconnect on its own? Wouldn't that mean it stays connected all day and would drain your battery? is there any way around that? Last edited by tbrocc; 03-15-2009 at 12:39 AM. |
