Re: SPB Mobile Shell 3.0!!
To change the Opera listing there are 2 ways, the easy way, and the "look I am soo cool that I edited the registry" way. I used the I'm so cool way, then the easy way came out and I felt like I was no longer special. The problem with opera is that 9.5 beta installs into different directories than the older versions, so MS3 cannot see them. You can change some of this in the registry, but why, just follow the steps below to make it work.
The easy way, find (earlier in this thread) the power toy for editing the menus. Then unzip it, and transfer the .exe file over to your phone. The file does not install, it simply runs when you click on it, so know where you put it. I added it to my tools group in the launcher for future use. Once you run the power toy program you can then check and uncheck the entries in each menu group, you can add sub-menus and you can add new files to run in the various launcher groups. For Opera (assuming that you have 9.5 beta) you cannot use the built in opera link (or favorites or history) you can add a "link" to the internet group and then select your Opera install from the list that pops up. Hope this helps. The instructions to go to SPB settings, and then check and uncheck, is from MS2.1. MS3 has type of feature, ONLY if you use the power toy. Re: SPB Mobile Shell 3.0!!
The entire setup is comprised of registry entries. You could export the contents and convert to xml for easy setup...

just extract the menu editor from that zip and put it somewhere on your device (i recommend in your mobile shell programs folder). Then just click on it and you'll get the same advanced menu editing page that you had on your old mobile shell where you can add/remove contents. Otherwise, you have to go into your registry and delete that msn link. Oh and look up the registry hack to be able to add links/files within spb menu categories, then you could add this editor to settings for easy access next time. |
