I am guessing you could just grab one of the wallpapers it come with and try using an image of the same size. Not sure. Someone said they tried that and it still stretched it.

I got a Trial version.

To the people that were asking about the battery... I've been using it all day and saw no significant increase in batter usage.
Tomorrow will be the big test as I'll be out most of the day with no charging possible.

I'd also like to know where some of you are getting some of those backgrounds that look good. The basketball one in particular looks nice, but so did the orange grass pattern. Do they only work on the lifestyle pages, not the professional ones? They only seem to use different colored themes.

i have gotten into a roadblock here guys... i try to install the 3.0 version but when i downloaded into my device it comes as a exe file not a cab, i try extracting the file but still comes as a exe file. pliz help

noo no no dont use the cab, there have been way too many problems with it
i would use the exe. i havent had any problems with it yet!

Well I would'nt know if that was your problem because I haven't used 2.0 in quite a while maybe try to uninstall your old one first

i installed over v2 and it worked fine, it uninstalles v2 before the v3 is installed. if you keep having problems, ill upload the trial cab i used. since my other v3 was registered it auto. registered my trial.

you run the exe on your computer and it installs it
make sure you phone is hooked up and connected to activsync
and also check your PM!!

Installed it and played around for about 30mins so far. Loving the new carousel feature. The ability to add widgets to the different pages.

Will definately be sticking to this for a while.

I like it so far as well...but it would be nice if the weather can display current weather and not just high/low and if the media player widget can open playlists without opening windows media player. Both are not that big a deal, overall great shell.

Yea, the weather is pretty lame but I'm still running weather panel in 2nd today with it so it's no big deal.....

Has everyone else had problems changing the professional home color theme? They have a bunch of different colors to change to but when I click them it still stays the same color.

I still haven't had the chance to install from the .exe, but I think people who install from a certain .cab file don't have the same version as the exe. There seems to be several discrepancies with what different people are seeing.

Been playing with it since yesterday and it works perfectly on my diamond. I installed from a exe. The only issue I have is it rotates slow using the g-sensor and I would like to disable auto-rotate period. Other than that I love this new version.

Yea, I got it working. Thanks for everyone being so frakking helpful around here, you guys rock. I'm pretty impressed with it, it is fast as crap on my Omnia, almost seems faster then MS2. The Facebook integration is very nice, just wish they added a quick way to update your status etc, but I'm sure it will arrive in a future version. I had been looking forward to the new version of the Samsung shell, but I'm very happy with this.

What Facebook integration is that? Using pictures for your contacts or is there a "quick app" or something? Xperia panel style?

I got this tid bit off XDA for anyone interested in skinning...

Ok so i thought i would start looking at the files for MS3 and it seems that is uses the same type of *.dat files as MS2. Then i tried to extract them and found that the same extraction password used in MS2 works for the new files as well. So skinning should be about the same as before.
