Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition

So I was messing around with this today and found that if I set the date to July 1 or later, my touch pro decides to reset itself then boot up to display a blank white screen and the only way I can fix this is to flash my phone again. Seems like something similar to the timebomb thing I remember from some of no2chem's roms... Not sure if it's just my phone or what but I tested with the touch pro rom Conflipper posted recently and got the same results.

This date is quite some time from now so I doubt it will cause any problems but I thought I would share this anyways. Just don't accidentally set your phone a year ahead of time or you may have to reflash lol

p.s. Great work Con, thanks to you I haven't had to bother using a kitchen since I got my touch pro, your roms are perfect :-)

Here is the reverse of NBHToDump.bat

I have tested NBHToDump.bat against the long handed method, I receive the same results both ways. I HAVE NOT tested DumpToNBH.bat (Provided below). Would someone with knowledge in this please verify I have entered the correct commands? I t should also be added to the Tools folder in your BuildOS, and requires the file names produced by NBHToDump, with your manual edits of course.

Once again, this is written for the Titan, if using on a different device, you will have to Edit and change "-Titan" to your device's command.

Here is a rom for everyone to play with. I just made it real fast, but if you want a feel for it, then give it a shot and see how it works.

Also it should be fully dumpable for anyone that would like to try it. or use the oem or anything from it.

Drop this into someone else RUU folder. I just did the basic folder here. A lot of the work here is from Da_G on xda, thank him for his work. I took his system and tweaked it a little. Give it a shot everyone.

This is not mean to be a full production rom from me, it is just meant to help others, and give everyone an idea about 6.5. It does work to send and recieve calls, sms, and emails. PIE is fully working, also with the icons on the buttom. Give it a shot, but it is a beta rom.

Con are you going to release an xip and sys for cookin? =)

tplane, feel free to link to xda, my hopes for this was to work together and expand, and get this working on all kinds of different devices. I am not an expert on a lot of this stuff, I am no genious, I just do my best. I can help provide the base systems. but from there, a lot of it will be up to you guys to make the big things happen.

Yes I will provide a new SYS for both VGA and QVGA, i need to fix my QVGA system, i am doing that tonight, hopefully i can get everything working.

in order to get the rom to boot i found i had to insert the XIP included on the 1st post, and to deselect the majority of the OEM's

What did you end up doing or change did you make to get your ROM's bootable? I know you said you were getting stuck at the boot screen. Which kitchen did you use?

I've gotten by my original problems, but I can't get a ROM to boot yet unfortunately.

I just use this sys http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=474406 and xip from this thread, and build with ppckitchen, have to clean out some stuff, just a note to people that get no booters, make sure you have a wince.nls included in your sys, some cookers keep that in xip, but I don't think the xips here include that, it will stick at first bootsplash without it. other than that, that vga sys seems to work quite well, I don't really mod much on it except the default wallpaper, and clean out duplicate oem's that throw duplicate errors when used with ppckitchen. I'm not really a hardcore tweaker, which is why I use that sys, all is don't for me, just have to set it up and press play

you mention the wince.nls file. Since the kitchen that you pointed to on xda does not include it in the SYS, where do you grab it from to add it? I'm getting stuck at the initial screen with red lettering. thanks.

pretty much grab any wince.nls from any exsiting build, I'm not sure about compatibility on that one, but stick to newer builds, you should be fine

Thanks for the beta 3, I keep follow up your update. I try for qvga sys. Do you use original G'reloc? I got integer overflow when I try to do it. Please help.
