In my original PPCKitchen post are a bunch of XIPs that can all be used for porting here ->http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...postcount=6137

Also, in that other file you are referring to is the original XIP as it came from the BIN file monkyebape at xbeta.cn posted. I can be found under the ROM\Shared\23009 folder.

Thanks, the XIP file from monkyebape is the problem one I have and that's why I ask for other XIP.

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition

Somebody at XDA posted this fix for the start menu background shadow problem:

Quote:

if you want the shadow back do this

add (this simple solution):

<Image ID="Background" Left="xx" Top="yy" Visible="True" Opacity="1.0" ScalingAlgorithm = "TriLinear" Source=".\StartMenu_Background_Screen_***x***.png"/>

to the StartMenu_GridScene_***x***.cpr files

where ***x*** is the resolution...

Somebody running 23009 please try this, i am currently on 23008 and am leaving for somewhere so can't try myself. I hope this solves this only remaining problem of 23009 build.

I tried this with no luck, but I think I have an alternative solution for you. You may want to try darkening one of the png's here too. This adds a background image to each icon. I have this in an OEM package that overwrites the default files from the SYS.

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition

Just an FYI for PPCKitchen users.

If you want your Build ID to show up properly in Device information and in the RUU screen when flashing a new ROM, create a PROVXML in the following format. Replace "BuildID" with whatever you want to show up in device information.

You can create a PROVXML by going to <\BuildOS\TOOLS\OEMizer.exe> and fill in your information. The first screen will be the information that shows up in your <Option.xml>. Then on the left side of the windows, put a check in "PROVXML" then click on "PROVXML" and fill in the box. Remember that in OEMizer, "<wap-provisioningdoc>" and "</wap-provisioningdoc>" are already entered for you, so you don't have to type that in in OEMizer.

Code:

<wap-provisioningdoc>
  <characteristic type="Registry">
      <characteristic type="HKLM\Software\OEM" translation="filesystem">
        <parm name="ROMVersion" datatype="string" value="BuildID" />
      </characteristic>
  <characteristic>
</wap-provisioningdoc>

This entry is verified to work on the Titan and should work on most other devices as well. :mrgreen:

The start menu issue that is present in 23009 is not present in 21928 on my Titan. In 21928, your check/selection boxes are larger, cleaner, and more finger friendly. As are the drop down menus. It is rather nice. :headbang:
