Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition

Ok,i am trying the new SYS XIP posted by anryl, if it still doesnt works, will look at the xip.bin and if there are overlaps, will port it manually. I know it will work somehow but now, i am having this feeling : why take so much tension for just a build that'll most probably become obsolete in 2 days :D Funny how mind reacts in frustration, LOLz!

If anyone is interested, or if this helps, here's the files I pulled from the original 23009 dump and arranged in Ervius Visual Kitchen for the CDMA Touch Pro (Herman). Adobeflash and browsingie are recmodded already and the ROM folders/xip/MSXIPKernel is good to go. You will need to supply WinCENLS_WWE and .ROM since I have those in my OEM folder. It's working great for me.

Originaly by BEPE

"- .VM will not be created anymore, since not needed
- when building a rom .ROM and .VM are not needed in SYS anymore, PRB will create it's own .ROM now"

"

set HONOR_SLOT0_MODULES=1
- If set to a value, PRB will not relocate modules that are already located in slot 0, there might be very special modules that can't work in other slots
- To disable it, remove this line from the bat file or set it without a value: set HONOR_SLOT0_MODULES=

set SLOT_0_END=0x00060000
set SLOT_1_END=0x02020000
set SLOT_60_END=0x78020000
set SLOT_61_END=0x7a020000
- Using this you can set the end of the slots for the module relocation
- This are the default MS values, so you don't need to add this variables if you don't want to change them
- Values must be hex values with 0x00000000 format
- This are advanced options, you usually don't need them!

set ROMGAP=0x00040000
set SLOTGAP=0x00040000
- Using this you can set the gap sizes for the module relocation
- This are the default MS values, so you dont need to add this variables if you don't want to change them
- Values must be hex values with 0x00000000 format
- This are advanced options!"

Poof! it worked! The files posted by anryl worked at first go. Thanks buddy :) But still i am not able to understand, what was the problem, although it was in SYS as even using the working 23008 XIP was not booting with those files.

Joojoobee, are the file you posted in common working properly for you. Coz the only files that made difference for me were from Shared\Common folder in anryl's files. Just telling you for information.

Wait a minute.. The start menu text shadow missing problem is still there even after adding these lines to startmenu_global_***x***.cpr :

<Image ID="Background" Left="0" Top="-27" Visible="True" Opacity="1.0" ScalingAlgorithm = "TriLinear" Source="ConfettiPlus::WallpaperBitmap"/>

Anybody got any ideas?

The Ervius kitchen files I posted are working fine for me as far as I can tell. What do you mean by the "start menu text shadow" problem exactly?

Ya, i just got 23009 working so only now i was able to see the problem. I took everything from anryl's sys. What do you think, taking theme files from older build may help?

@joojoobee666: If you use the Rock and Republic black theme, and open the start menu, the text that is on the lighter part of the background image, is not visible. In older builds, it used to be visible.

Yeah, I see now. The whole shadow background for the start menu is gone. But I also noticed that in 21928 and just assumed it was a change MS was making and ported it to the 230xx tree.
