Anyone using sys I posted needs to replace the netcf folder with this one. It is v3.5 versus 2.0. Now I am getting installation unsuccessful message when I am trying to install cab instead no message at all.

Few things to consider: You probably want to delete my wince.nls and add yours since mine contains asian support. Also, I used Calk's Kitchen 4.5 with wmreloc to build my system. Just copy G'reloc.exe, wmreloc.exe from tools folder into the main kitchen root. Before you flash your phone, be sure to look at the wmreloclog.txt in the kitchen root to check if there is any error. The last line should be

Module name: Camera.exe.0409.mui (00E73000 - 00E70000)

If you see something about no more memory, it will not work.

Edit: Rapidshare upload failed. Trying again now.
It is finally done!

Thanks, this SYS worked for me, but as you mentioned it won't install any cabs.

I am trying to find the solution and replacing netcf with 3.5 helps and gives you different message. If I find the solution, I will post it here.

It doesn't seem to be limited to cab files -- .tsk won't work either, and it doesn't seem like .xml files that should be installed during UC are working.

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA ROM for VZW Vogue?

Thought I understood the kitchens and cooking well enough to acomplish something, but 6 hours later and I don't feel like I've done anything but frustrate myself. That said, are there any Vogue, VZW, 21193 ROMS out there yet? If there's nothing public, but you're reading this, have one, and would be willing to share, please PM me.

Thanks to everyone working on this project.

QVGA SYS, if you want to try

I've gotten a QVGA SYS working. It's based on a re-working of the Chinese QVGA version of 21193 so that it's now in English.

EDIT: Here it is. (Update #3 - SMS works now):

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition

OK. I got it working. It installs cab and graphic is back to 6.5. I will be testing this and if I don't find too much problem, I will post if anyone wants it.

EDIT: Just found out Da_G at XDA is posting his kitchen. It will probably work way better than what I can offer :) Here's the link.

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition

Build 21193 worked for me (I used part of the XIP, .ROM, .VM and WWE languages from 21176) but I had to drop it because I was unable to run IGO (it simply didn't want to run, probably insufficient memory, I have a trinity device).

So I will wait for next build. It will be nice to see a complete WWE build because things have changed even in 21193 a lot from 21176.

I am in the same boat you are, I can get it to the second splash screen but it doesn't want to go anywhere it just stays there. I know i ported it right it has to be something in the SYS file that isn't letting it boot up. had the same problem with 89. I am still going to try and get it to work but I am happy with 89 for now.

Hi,
Do you "or anyone else" have any idea on how to fix the d-pad arrows "They're rotated > Up is right and down is left .."?

Thanks...

Go to the touchpro upgrade section, find the thread JD kitchen and rom and go to page 14. He uploaded a new rom (beta) couple of bugs (no notification sound) but overall stable and incredibly fast.

Oh and I know what your mean! Same with the wife at home ...lol

lol u better put your foot down. Or better yet get her a diamond and have her join in on the fun haha. But Jd's rom is incredible and the notifications do work. This rom is definitely ready for daily use and there are bugs still present but i haven't personally ran into any.

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition

Okay here are the file. depending on what you are using the xip are just in .bin format to help everyone, it is the base, so people can do with them what they want. The XIP are also included in this file for anyone that would want to them. and not have to download files twice.

Next thing, you are going to need a .vm from your current working SYS. Doing it this way with stuff split up, it will help more people and be easier, but if i used that .vm it wouldnt work right.

this is a core OS. no remote desktop, no windows live, you can find those other places. this is just a very core SYS that will work very good for a lot of people. I have it running on 3 devices at this time.

Let the fun times go. Everyone enjoy tonight.

I tried to get DogGuy's kitchen working last night with PPCK but failed because (among other issues) I didn't have a xip.bin to use so thank you for that.

I don't yet understand the .vm folder. Can/Should I use one from 20193? What's the effect of using different ones (older or just plain different)?

For those of you who use PPCKitchen's BuildOS, I'm still trying to convert this so you can build your own ROM via a process you know. I'm doing this to help me learn all the aspects of a kitchen, and so I can rebuild ROMs easily using PPCK so don't expect too much :)
