how does it look, is it the new UI like 23081 too, & does it have the new contacts and magnifier?

23081 = Build 4123, Oct. 23 2009 16:33:39

23502 = Build 4501, Oct. 19 2009 16:10:01

COM5 appears pretty much identical to COM3, though I don't see the new magnifier.

So I can copy my 128 DPI SYS files from 23081 for 23502?

My guess is that yes, it will work. Can't hurt to try, since worst case scenario is something is broken and you just need to go back to 23081.

Wouldn't it be good to have an automatic "What's new?" for each build.

Would be nice, but these builds aren't always 'user interface' improvements. These are just a certain set of completed work items by the developers, and this is the build that passes QA Testing. A lot of improvements are things like, String conversions and DataType's and languages, etc.. which, believe it or not, means very little to the end user... So, this could quite literally be something as simple as a series of string changes that we'd actually never notice... :P

Out of curiousity, I just built a 23502 ROM, buuuut it's displaying 24HR clock... How would I fix this?

Could I just throw this in to an RGU file?

I can.:-P I somehow managed to get the WinCENLS_WWE folder into the 96DPI and never caught the overwrite during testing. You can just go ahead and remove that package from the rar you have. I will update the one on my post.

PPCKitchen files for 23081 for the PPCK devs out there. These common files should work for ALL devices, including Apache , let me know if it doesn't work. One other note here. The 192DPI now contains the WVGA files as well. The option.xml will filter those out based of of the device resolution set in the devicebase txt file. All other usual notes apply.

The XIP rar contains XIPs for the Apache, Herman, Kaiser, Titan, Victor and Vogue, all are spinlock patched except for the Apache. The Apache XIP is now LZX enabled (thx to Drellisdee) as well.

Thanks, JooJoo! All works fine for Apache :thumbleft:

Thanks for the goods!

Does 23081 contain the org files for the exchange server or is it from a past version?
Just wondering...

hmmmm, the only thing that I see different then any other build is the WinCENLS_WWE folder in both the dpi and common, and did not see it overwrite. Not where I can recook and test this though.
Don't know if that would do this or not though.

Here you go boys here the link that joojoobee666 post for me, Thanks joojoobee666 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=411154 this is to a kitchen on xda:) download it, you need to replace TOOLS\G'Reloc.exe -doit -dump with Tools\WMRelocII.exe -gtemp\dump -lWMReloclog.txt in the 2C_RepackEmuROM.cmd file for it to work and put WMRelocII.exe in tools folder, download 6.5 emulator Here http://www.microsoft.com/downloadS/d...displaylang=en and install on your PC look in program files and you'll find the *.bin files, dump your choice.bin with the emulator_kitchen, it will setup most of the kitchen up for you, dump again your.bin with my Extract_EMU and you will see that all the files are there now, dont know Y the package tool delete's oem.cert but it does, replace OEM & SYS in kitchen with the OEM & SYS dumped in my extractor and your good to go, As I said before the provxml files don't execute so if you find a fix for this please let us all know or post a working kitchen,

emu_extractor http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/attachment...9&d=1246127757

from the tests i'v done it works just like any kitchen, Just don't try to use any of it's OEM_**** folders on your device there a sort of "half PC half PPC mix" any oem's you put there to test are fine, The SYS folder is suppose to work and i'v seen some RTM builds around xda site, 21234_RTM

So boys how will be the first to fix IT

Hi,

I can not simulate on a PC (with WM65EmuKitchen) a ROM that I work with EviusKitchen 1.8.1.
I followed your explanations but the screen remains black.
Can you please tell me if you was how to simulate a new ROM from file generated by NBH EviusKitchen or from source files.

Thank you.

i don't have this sleep issue... double checked by letting it go to sleep... then calling it ~10-15 min later. woke up & rang just fine.

it'll wake up to a call, txt, me pressing the power button, w/e... i think the issue lies somewhere else in your build

Wakes fine for me too. Had that prob only with the 23071 build and quit trying to figure it out cuz it was intermitent. Took 12hours to show back up.

Other note. I can't test your files for my IE problem till later.

More than likely the problem is the XIP.bin. This EMU kitchen does NOT do anything about the XIP, at all. So if you are trying to get cook up a COM3 or COM4 build, it will never work since the XIP.bin is for 21234....way too old. I've tried, unsuccessfully, to get the kitchen to inject a xip, but either the XIP injection utility won't let me, or it will but you don't even get a black screen (black screen indicates that YES, the kernel has initialized).

If someone knows how to inject a ported EMU XIP into the os.nb or the EMU bin, please by all means, let us know. :D

Yeah, that's the point i think, UI Changes are one aspect but i noticed going through the different builds Voice Command has been touched but WMWidgets doesn't seem to change anymore. Knowing registry and filesize changes would bring more light how exactly what are they doing from one build to another, than we could focus trying to see real impact on those different area. That's maybe just a crazy idea, yet.

joojoobee666 10-26-2009 08:12 PM

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition

Looks like the IE problem is only a problem with my files, sorry. :( I am trying to identify what happened and I will have them updated shortly.

Update: I think I found the issue. Stay tuned.

UPDATE 2: Issue found. The mshtml.dll file was stuck halfway through being recmodded, causing it to be skipped entirely. My bad. I am going to be updating the original PPCKitchen post here with instruction on manually fixing the common files you may have already downloaded. Check it in about 5 mins from now, while I upload and verify.

Cab to fix can be found here (thanks to mattsm for testing and verifying:occasion5:)
