Thought i posted this Q already but couldn't find it. But can anyone shine some light on icons here. I'm trying to get updated nice qvga set but with original small wm6.5 wait cursor, unless someone has a better suggestion for wait cursor, as opposed to this huge one I put in there. Problem is, when extracting the bitmaps from an "original" dll, they come out 80x80. Is this not an original or do i need to resize each bitmap. If so, which size will look regular?

I sent him a PM a while ago letting him know that the files from ther-amm are pretty much ready to go, and that you will just need to put the right files all under the same folder. I don't have time right now to do all of that and upload them.

But for clarification and for everyone else, for VGA, extract all the folders in the COMMON, the COMMON-0409, VGA-0409 and VGA-COMMON all to the same folder, name it SYS, and there ya go. As far as the QVGA, its the same, just use the QVGA instead of VGA. ;)

Any question, just let me know. :D

I still get the REPLY icon when I create a new message with the 23075 rom. The first message had the SEND icon but all messages since then have the REPLY. When I press the REPLY it generates a new RE message with a SEND icon.

So for I have not had to reset the device.

Here is your fix!

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\GWE\MAGNIFIER]
"Enable"=dword:1
"MagnifierConstant"=dword:c8
"BILINEAR"=dword:1

Most people have this turned off by default...

Have fun!

Hi, Is ppc kitchen different from ervius visual kitchen , Do we need to fix the attributes for visual kitchen ,Also do we need to port xip for ervius kitchen?

Hey, sorry to sound like an *** -- but I managed to just view the files -- look at similar naming conventions and move as necessary... Than I did a test build, and voila! It worked flawlessly...

I think some good ole trial and error might be your best bet at first :)

The SYS files in ervius are separated by common, lang, and DPI in the following way:

SYS
--XXXXX (build number, i.e. 21075)
----DPI_XXX (where XXX = device DPI like 96, 192 or 128 )
--------0409 - *_Lang_0409_DPI_XXX
--------COMMON - *_DPI_XXX
----DPI_dpi_XXX_resh_YYY_resv_ZZZ (where YYY and ZZZ = screen res, i.e. 480x640, oe 240x320)
--------0409 - *_0409_DPI_XXX_RESH_YYY_RESV_ZZZ
--------COMMON - *_dpi_XXX_resh_YYY_resv_ZZZ
----SHARED
--------0409 - *_Lang_0409
--------COMMON - Common packages (i.e. packages with no DPI, or 0409 in the name)

The MSXIPKernel can be obtained from the XIP by dumping it with XIPport.exe (rename xip to xip.bin). After dumping, do a make packages. Once done, you will be left with the following layout in the OUT folder:

FILES
--MSXIPKernel
--OEMXIPKernl
MODULES
--MSXIPKernel
--OEMXIPKernel

To use these files from the xip in ervius, move them to the following folders:

ROM
--DEVICE
(Where this folder will be named Herman, or Raphael, or whatevever)
----XXXXX (where XXXXX is the build number, i.e 23075)
------OEMXIPKernel - Contains all the files and folders under BOTH OEMXIPkernel folders from above, MINUS the .txt files
--SHARED
----XXXXX
(where XXXXX is the build number again)
------MSXIPKernel - Contains all files and folder from both MSXIPKernel folder from above, MINUS the txt files. Alternatively, just grab a copy of the files that some posted as usually, someone posts the MSXIPKernel separately for the builds when they come.

Mind you, the MSXIPKernel file are the ones that change from build to build, so those need to match the build you are building for, but the OEMXIPKernel are device specific and can be copied from build to build.

Also, you will need an os.nb.payload and romhdr.bin for your device placed into the ROM\Device folder.

The removed packages from my PPCK files post can be added following the guidelines from above, and don't forget to fix the file permissions. ;-)

Hopefully I didn't miss anything. :p

So then If I have MSXIPKernal for some device say Raphael, I can use it for some other HTC devices like elf,hermes ?Do I still need to port it or just put it in the appropriate folder inside the kitchen? Also for ervius visual kitchen ,do I need to fix attributes ?.Sorry,I have been a trouble.

No need to "port" the MSXIPKernel if used in ervius, assuming that you are saying that you pulled the MSXIPKernel files from the xip of another device that was the same build. Just put in into the kitchen.

And you ONLY need to fix attributes if you use the PPCKitchen files for your ervius kitchen.

Thank you again, joojoobee & all others who make these files available to all of us. Regarding 23075, it might be my test unit, but has any one else had any issues with the hardware keyboard double striking some of the keys? This is on the 6800. I think I recall a discution earlier in this thread, but I don't know how many hundred pages back. For now I will flash another unit with the same ROM and see what happens.

Anyone sync to an exchange server? I am having a strange issue where the "from" field is blank. Strange thing is when you open the message there is no "from" line and you can not reply to it. You are not alone, apparently. There have been quite a few reports of the same issue over at XDA all revolving around Exchange Activesync ans 23075. As of yet, there is no fix.

Yeah here too...

Is anyone else having trouble with random reboots during phone calls?
Everytime I make or receive a call I can talk until I hit a button. Then the phone freezes and once the call is ended it resets...

I'm trying a new ROM with out a few OEM's that people have had trouble with in the past, I will report the results...

Not sure, and this is off topic, but I'm guessing that it's gonna be one of these:

"SyncMode"=dword:00000000
