Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition
I have the palm treo pro which is a QVGA 320x320 windows mobile 6.1 device...Im interested in upgrading to WM 6.5 or 7.0...Im not a veteran but Im not a total square either...Ive installed different roms to several devices in the past...i.e.mighty,juicy roms to my htc diamond and touch pro before...I need some directions on which edition of WM 6.5 on page 1 of this thread would work on my device(palm pro)...I understand that microsoft has released a beta version 6.5 free for download...any feedback at this moment would be taken with grace...
I assume any and all responsibility of course...I got top shelf insurance..!0! If there no available edition for my device that OK ill wait..!!! thx in advance |

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition
I think Lockscreen it's far from being done...
Sometimes the blue bouble from incoming call appears fisrt and then the lockscreen one... It's kind of weird... Yesterday i was playing with that, making incoming calls to try to understand what it was appening and didn't get any conclusion. I stoped when the blue bouble stop responding and stayed in the screen and i had to soft reset... |
Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition
think different (c) apple
run application with moderate processor usage .. like Windows media player ... and lock screen... YOU WILL BE UNABLE TO LISTEN MUSIC WITH LOCKED SCREEN- ms lockscreen app will overload CPU ... on 624 marvel bulverde i cant lock screen and listen mp3 :headbang: ps .. ms must QQ how to code on c++ ... i sick from pioneers of .net |

hi
since build 21222 up to 21232 i lost the 6.5 theme and icon no more internet and can't change date or clock... the rest look fine. build 21215 was running fine with my vogue but new build give me some trouble. any idea where i should look in my kitchen? |
Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition
Does anyone tried lockscreen with the default NETFramework 2 from the default build?
Do you think there is something to do with it? |
Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition
it will NOT change anything ...
titanium and lockscreen uses .net framework 2 LIBS .. framework 3 and 3.5 have SAME FRAMEWORK 2 LIBS .. its for backward compability new version have unchanged versions of previous release versions. more easy -updating enviromental software like directx or .net . just adds new commands and features which NOT affect old programs and applications so .net 3.5 holds release versions ( unchanged ) of .net framework 1+.netframework 2+ .net framework 3 + .net 3 updates ( sso called 3.5 version ) |
Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition
I'm just saying because i saw in the Da_G rom thread where he says "New for v3: Removed GettingStarted/WelcomeCenter in favor of .NET CF 3.5".
The GettingStarted/WelcomeCenter only works with NET CF 2 (I think this is it)... |

old story . i download .net 3.5 from xda nearly year ago .. but with this packet some nice and useful software refuses to work .. i start reserch ... then i repack entire .net packet .. and ALL APPS WORKING again .... so its just a matter of used package

Hi, it works, but results are the same as cooking in NetCF2 and NetCF3.5 together, was hoping for it to work with just NetCF3.5 package :)
Thanks, though :) |

Here is 21234 Common files. I have Adobe Flash, and Browseie recmod. so it should work fine on these devices. Adobe was 2 MB in modules, so I figured that would save more space. so we should be good to go for right now.

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition
Apr 28 2009 16:04:00 Is the build date on 21227, is there any need or want for this, if there is I can make a common and XIP for this. if there is no need then I will not worry about it.
21234 Build date is May 18 2009, so let me know. |

Thank you Conflipper.. was about time to flash my phone again :) As for the DPI resources - I guess we should use the ones from the 21232 release, right? |

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition
21215+ have all had the Timebomb code and everything removed from them.
HTC has been making roms from 6.5 for a while now. I have some HTC SYS from 21189, 21193, 21194, 21202, 21210, and a few others. from anything from QVGA to WVGA, so HTC has had the files for a while. HTC when they release the files will be 216xx, The MS files are all 212xx, and the OEM will then change the build number and add there own fixes to the sys and everything from there. It seems like Samsung has the 215xx, HTC has the 216xx, and that is all I really know for sure at this time. HTC is testing just MS builds at this time then 212xx, and I have only seen a few HTC release roms at this time. one 21602, it is a higher number but it is based off 21215 area, it is not a fake build, it is just a higher number to deal some things that HTC fixed. Da_G seems to know more about this then I do, but here is something that he posted. http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...postcount=5048 |
Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition
inertiax3: hi, I only have a couple builds that I have not shared, like 21602, all are based on older code though, nothing special in them
21234 is the latest post-release code (building up to AKU 1 update release) the only 215xx SAMsung builds ive seen in are in the wild were not shared with the OEM folders in them, which is where the work would be done, so the older build wouldn't be anything but older code.. re: old style dump, just take all the folders from sys in my kitchen and combine them into one, take /rom/raphael/xip.bin, use your own .vm and .rom now you've got the old style dump :) |
Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition
Thanks for sharing the 21234 XIP and SYS.
Has anyone been able to port the XIP to the i910 Omnia? I've tried the XIP that was uploaded here and the one from Da G's kitchen, but neither boot. The last part of my map file shows this and I don't know what to do about it. 80357000 - 80357000 L00000000 Start: start of RAM 80357000 - 8050f000 L001b8000 initialized data of region_3 nk.exe 803d9000 - 8050f000 L00136000 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 803d9000 - 803da000 L00001000 initialized data of region_1 hd.dll 803da000 - 803de000 L00004000 initialized data of region_1 osaxst0.dll 803de000 - 80520000 L00142000 NUL 80520000 - 80521000 L00001000 initialized data of region_1 giisr.dll 80520000 - 80521000 L00001000 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 80520000 - 80526000 L00006000 uninitialized data of region_2 nk.exe 80521000 - 80526000 L00005000 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 80521000 - 80521000 L00000000 ------ start of RAM free space 80521000 - 86e9d000 L0697c000 NUL 86e9d000 - 86e9d000 L00000000 End: end of RAM Suggestions? |

I don't know what its for either, but its in my last XIP that I ported from Da G's kitchen (21232). As are the other two files. What do they do? That map was when I manually ported the XIP. This is how it looks with XIPKitchen. 80357000 - 80357000 L00000000 Start: start of RAM 80357000 - 8050f000 L001b8000 initialized data of region_3 nk.exe 8050f000 - 80520000 L00011000 NUL 80520000 - 80526000 L00006000 uninitialized data of region_2 nk.exe 80521000 - 80526000 L00005000 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 80521000 - 80521000 L00000000 ------ start of RAM free space 80521000 - 86e9d000 L0697c000 NUL 86e9d000 - 86e9d000 L00000000 End: end of RAM I honestly think its an issue with nk.exe that I need to resolve, but I'm no expert here. I did make a build without the hd.dll and osaxst0.dll, and it still hung on the bootloader before the OS starts. |
