how do you guys backup your PPC before flasing?

I can't imagine SPB would be able to do that. How would it know which items in the registry you want saved and which ones you want overwritten?

I agree, but there are two different options on SPB restore with a new ROM. One option is "overwrite everything" & I forget exactly what the other one says out of my head, but it does not overwrite all the new files. I'm not sure how that would apply to the reg however (I've wondered about that myself)

Well see that's exactly what I think. Which makes me wonder what is so good about Spb if it is "worthless" doing a full restore with it after upgrading ROMs...I guess unless you could get all the reg tweaks as a separate cab for each release which I wouldn't expect any chef to provide.
