I don't believe it's actually the phone doing it (I think it's vz doing it), if I send him a long sms from my TouchPro he gets it just fine & he can send me long messages with no problem.

The problem pops up only between the env & the 6800.

ROTFL, I wouldn't know what to say in any message that long -my texts are always short & to the point (my Son is pretty much the same way).

I could care less about a 160 character limit, none of my texts have ever come close to that. I guess my Sons GF likes to get carried away with the sms messages however.......

Yeah... I sent it out to a group of friends.. It was 13 texts long for each of them.. It was something about Obama winning the presidency.. Thank God I have unlimited texting.

I voted for Obama, but it was more for the history and importance of such an election.. Also, it included my opinion of that CNN Hologram 3-D broadcast, the McCain 'I lost' speech, and how excited I was to be typing all this on my new phone.. lol.. I am now going to see if there is a limit on my Sprint Touch Pro on how long a text message can be... Be right back... lol

Yes they should be fine if they both have the same phone. When I had the Env my girlfriend and I could text each other over 160 and it would get broken up into 2 texts. Now that I have the Touch Pro and she has the Env I can send over 160 to her..But she cant send over 160 to me.
