basically.
when you tap this icon, it's basically a shortcut to the Connections --> Bluetooth module, so you still have to check it on or off. that and it resides in the system tast bar thing (where connection manager, screen rotation, etc, go). of course, if you use the hardware key program, you don't have to do that. Personally, using AE Button Plus, I just double-tap my right softkey and that will toggle BT on or off and this icon will then reflect that status. So this is good if you don't use Phonealarm, or you do but the skin your using doesn't have BT in it or, like me, you just like the extra visible confirmation of BT status. |

ok so I have been using bt more and more so I figured I would try this on my apache and guess what I got a wsod lol. So I warn everyone with apaches that I installed it, and after a soft reset it caused my ppc to load to a white screen and the only way I could recover it was a hard reset. thx mala :P jk

Weird.
When I 1st posted this (end of Aug), guess what I was still using? Apache/6700 Worked fine. I mean all it is is a visual/shortcut to BT. Hardly invasive. That's why I posted it as the 700wx already has a BT icon notification Try it again now that you hard reset. I'm going with there was a conflict of some sort but ultimately not caused by the BT icon per se. |
