Re: Good Apps for a Road Trip?

Set up Orb on your home desktop & run Kinoma Freeplayer on your TP on the road to access...Works great!

Re: Good Apps for a Road Trip?

I just got back from a road trip to & from Dallas Texas. I live in Atlanta, GA. That's quite a haul.

Live Search is excellent for finding hotels if you do like I do & just drive til you get too tired.

I use GPS today to check the weather along my route and give me more accurate speedometer readings. They're off by 5 mph in my van above 60mph.

I'd get a memory card (assuming your card supports it) and tether your phone to your car stereo so you can listen to as much of YOUR music as you'd like. I have Orb, but the quality sometimes sucks... especially when I'm in more rural areas where coverage is spotty or the data service is super slow.

Don't leave home without it. It's freeware by the way.

I don't see a version for Windows Mobile, other than a java app.
