Hey guys.. I have been checking pointui.com periodically for some time now and notice that sometime between last night and this morning they have added a new video previewing the new Home 2.0 that many of us have been waiting for. It looks pretty slick, even though they did not show many of the features (contacts, calender, etc). Head on over to www.pointui.com to check it out now if you're interested!

This looks great. the previous version was pretty good. it looks like this might be something that we would need to purchase. I hope it is not too expensive.

from what i've read, I am pretty sure that Pointui Home 2.0 will be VGA. The Bell UI that was released was based of this UI, but Home 2.0 is supposed to have more features and replace many more aspects of windows mobile.. Seeing that this Bell UI was only for VGA devices, I think you can expect Home 2.0 to have a VGA version...

I remember when the first version of pointui was very popular and just seemed to have dropped off, I for one can't wait to try out 2 and see how it is.

looks very interesting...tried 1.5 but was not blown away, this looks very nice though. Hopefully its not one of those, this will be the new version...and then it comes out 6 months later

I use the first version on my Mogul, and have a version on my Treo 800w, but I don't use it. I love it on my Mogul though, and can't wait to try this new version.

They just updated their website. It looks like they are going to be launching the new pointui any day now. They are also going to be offering both a pay and free version.

WOW is all I can say. I LOVED the original PointUI and the new one looks FANTASTIC! I doubt I'd keep TF3D on my phone once this comes out.

not running on my touch pro...hm I will reinstall it and try again
edit it works
okay what you have to do is on install soft reset
then hit the today settings and activate it. If you don't it will crash and you will have to reinstall it
toying with it now
and done toying it crashed again but I was blown away by it and I was just about to say manila has been replaced
not so much very very buggy

yeah im using a 6900 (Touch) and after install and soft reset i had to run it from the program files pointui folder....:-x Then it wouldnt quit running so i had to use quickmenu to disable it...sigh. It wasnt as nice as i hoped but i still want to try the pro and i hope they update the bugs in this version soon. edit after another softreset it loaded in my today and is running fine...but im not real impressed.

I got it to work but wasnt impressed enough to keep it. not that its horrible its just not my taste.

Honestly, it replaces all the functionality of TF3D... I don't know why you would want to run them concurrently but I imagine SecondToday would be required.

Im just not that impressed idk...some of the ui is pretty good but i hope spb shell 3 blows it out of the water. The icons are kinda tiny in some cases but it is very quick. No lag really and the ui is very smooth for a free app. not sure if ill keep it tho. One issue thats just a little annoying is i can see the screen behind the interface. spb shell 2 is running and i can see the icons up near the top of the screen. But if i put it on standby for a sec it goes away.

You're also using an ancient history device from what I can see unless you just haven't updated your profile.

I'm having zero issues with it on my Touch Pro... I didn't even have to soft reset after install like was said earlier in the thread. I just installed it, disabled TouchFlo, and enabled PointUI and voila. Everything works.

The ONLY thing that's on my nerves right now is the fact my weather is in Celsius lol. And I wish they'd have included a screen lock like they did with the first version.
