Re: Google Maps 2.3 with Street View available for Windows Mobile

It may affect certain devices if it is installed to the card or the main memory.

I have used Google Navigator for a year or so & when you install it, it gives you the option of main mem or card to install to. The problem is, if you install it to the storage card the program refuses to run!!

If you then re-install it to main memory it runs just fine.....

Re: Google Maps 2.3 with Street View available for Windows Mobile

When using GPS with directions, will this version update while youre driving? For example, when using LiveSearch it will show the next turn before you get to it and jump to the next direction when you pass the previous. So its more like a true GPS navigator. With previous versions of googlemaps it shows where you are, but doesnt update to the next turn while driving. Does that make sense? Kinda hard to explain, but anyone who has used both will know what Im talking about. Id try it myself, but Im stuck at work........

you can also just click and hold the stylus anywhere on the map ... if streetview is available it will come up in the context menu ... very cool stuff

The street view option will come up regardless if it is available or not, but you won't know if it is available until you click on the street view option. At this point it will either go there or tell you that it's not available. In my case, I can look at my house from just about any angle!

Re: Google Maps 2.3 with Street View available for Windows Mobile

It works pretty good but I noticed that the line in the roadway is not there and there is a small arrow for navigation. Also it does not zoom in or pan up/down like the regular web version does.

Does anyone know if it works while moving with GPS on?

Re: Google Maps 2.3 with Street View available for Windows Mobile

i just finished messing around with google maps and the street view is amazing... the only thing i hate about google maps is the lack of real time turn by turn directions like tom tom or sprint navi. if they did that then i would reallyyyy love this program

honestly speaking if your gonna invest on time and money on building an application like this and providing 360 photos of the area why not install that one crucial feature?
