WM6 Top/bottom Bars for WM5

Neat little program (free).

It's not perfect e.g. the bottom bars don't have their "labels", the bottom bar doesn't stay skinned in other apps, etc (at least on my device, though I think I'm the exception).

but hey, it's a work in progress.

yes, great little app
also for me the bottom bar is only on today screen (removed by vjtoogle)

but I don't understand why I have in the right corner a square for the X botton... (see screenshot)

I have wisbarlite installed, maybe is this?

and the gprs monitor icon isn't show correctly...

Pretty cool.

WA3 Beta's default skin looks like WM6 and will change color depending on your tsk.

I gotta ask: how is the resource usage with WA3? What I like about this little app (even though it has flaws) is it barely uses any power to run. WA always results in beautiful skinning I just hated how it slowed things down (though the Treo handled it better than other devices).

Looks nice though from your screenshots! Hopefully the WX will get WM6 (I think it will actually, but not till Fall...)

Uvz: exactly. Wisbar Lite needs to be skinned on top of this app (don't ask me how to match it up). I had the same issue with SmallMenuPlus but that has an option to match the background.

The resources used are a bit less as far as I can tell. It is much snappier the WA2. This was the major thing Chris wanted to improve with WA3, and he has done a good job of it. One 6700 user mentioned his free memory went from 17 MB to about 22 MB. I think once everyone is comfortable with WA3 you will start hear hard numbers with the resources.

I am using this little program (not WA3), too. I have put a shortcut of it into the startup folder. Some questions, though. How can I make it to choose the 4th color automatically, make it minimize itself afterwards, and also make it so the "Alt+Tab" command from SPB Pocket Plus doesn't pick it up?

lol, all very good questions to which I have no answers to!

Hopefully there will either be a new version or someone else will tweak it up a bit. If I find anything I'll put it here and update the thread title

When I switch from portrait to landscape & vice versa, the program seems to mess up the bars. Anyone else having this problem?

yup, noticed it today, it duplicates the signal icon and clock over the start logo. I removed the app cause of it.
