I'm still trying to figure out why iPhone has so many apps, especially apps that already exist on the device. Why aren't developers putting these apps out for all?

But I digress...
I'm still looking for a decent visual voicemail app for my touch pro. Windows needs this soo bad! iPhone does it as well as the instinct.

Im looking for a proper dictation software.. SPEECH to TEXT...not the stupid gps text to speech (= you'r too illiterate to read it quickly and safely on this tiny screen so ill read it to you)...

I'd like to have REAL voice command:
push bluetooth button on headset... say "text contact xuber"...text messages comes up.
i begin to dictate the text "be there in ten minutes"
"send"... message goes to contact... or something like that.... voice command does not do that.

How bout software that doesnt need the internet to operate a simple program like a calculator.... I still refuse to pay for data with our rates/speeds here in canada.

I've always had problems with the MS facebook app. I've stuck to use Facebook Mobile. It works better and offers complete functionality.

Hello Friends.
I'm saying is that I don't think they can program the app to adapt and change itself to whatever theme or interface is on top of WM. Besides, if you need that app to get out of a certain situation it'll work and I doubt anyone will notice its a fake call simply because of the interface, unless they have a Touch Diamond/Pro too and are looking directly at your device.

I searched this thread as well as the internet and haven't found anything that looks close to the iPhone application "Sportacular"

I don't think Sprint offers Visual Voicemail. I have it for Verizon on my TP2, and it's great, but it's a carrier thing.

I know we have a few different Barcode scanners
- Barcodezilla for barcodes (doesn't work too well)
- I-Nigma (awesome for 2D barcodes)
- M$ Tag reader (great for Microsoft tag barcodes)

But nothing that I've seen for food. I'd like one though!

I'm not much for useless apps, which is what iphone apps are about. But I've been looking for an online site or something that will show how much I'm earning on a ticker (yes, working over-time and its really slow), and guess what? Earn-O-meter for iPhone does it and I can't find anything like it, even on the PC! I would think this would just be a simple counter that somebody could program ms excel to do. There are all sorts of tickers for the national deficit, but nobody wants to watch their money grow! Who is up to the task of programming this?

Talking carl is a fun little app. The creature on the screen acts as a parrot repeatin everything u say in a funny sounding tone. you can also poke him to make him laugh and what not.

I know this is supposed to be iPhone apps, but I love this Android MiniShot game, I use it whenever i'm playing with Android on my Vogue, but it would be great if there was a WM version.

sadly the iphone got fring with video chat over wifi and the wm not !
the skype has video chat over wife on iphone but the windowsmobile is not ?

One reason a lot of these apps that are on WinMo and iPhone are crippled on WinMo is because there are so many different types of WinMo phones, but an iPhone is an iPhone is an iPhone. We should all know by now that when it comes to professional apps and little games and what not, on Windows Moibile, we're screwed. I'm making the switch to Android ASAP.

i have found several GPS mileage trackers for auto logging business trips for the iphone and blackberry. Tap2track is just one example. Sadly i have yet to find one for windows mobile.

Qype Radar (popular android and iphone app) = Magic Guidebook on windows mobile.

Qype themselves didn't write one for windows phone :banghead: but if you're using the UK marketplace there's one called Magic Guidebook in the Travel section which does the same O:)

I'm hoping someone writes a version of Talking Carl for winmo.
