Are you talking about sscontact? that is the only one i found, but it isnt very functional yet. you cannot dial out from it as of now.
If I'm not wrong, sscontacts is a parallel project to iContact. Both do vaguely the same thing to the respective authors tastes.

In that thread, Guybrush had some test versions of his app before he started his own thread. The iContact app is still the most stable, but the SSContact app is still in development.

this app is absolutely sweet! no i can call people of my contact list without my stylus, i just need one hand to navigate my phone! wooohoo

and it works pretty good for me! i use it for 2 weeks now and never hit a contact instead of scrolling down...
