Here's something odd that I noticed, looks to be both on the PC and PPC the same way.
The programs called Palringo, but all the setting info on the phone and the PC is under reg key HKLU>>>Parlingo (note the reversed r and l), on the PC the only reg entry under Palringo (correct spelling) is Default key stating the program directory.. Why would the reg entries be misnamed??

My wife and I set up our own chatroom, so that we can talk to eachother while were at work without it beeping all the time... For some reason on a Moto Q if you send a voice message it automatically plays it so she was in her office with a client and all the sudden very loudly was "Hey sexy you there"....lol We love the program though.

Just signed up today. very nice program.. u guys are the only people to talk to on it...

is this still working???????? what does it mean when it says "The Central directory was not found in the archive(or you were trying to open a disk or multi-disk archive)

Are there any mogul users that are having a problem with the push to talk feature of palringo?

I can receive audio just fine, but when i send a message, its all garbled up :-(. I posted on the palringo forum and they say that they are working on a fix.

Is there anything that i can do in the meantime besides wait?

LOL, kinda figured that...oh well. Its a cool app anyway although i sound like one of the zombies in Creepshow (Something To Tide You Over with Leslie Nielsen and Ted Danson) :-)

not true. this is a problem introduced with sprint rom 2.14.651.3. The original sprint mogul rom works fine on palringo.

this is on my list of things to try with the alltel os core on my mogul, i will post back this weekend with results.

I installed the Sprint\Hybrid Rom. The sound is better, but still messed up. Instead of sounding like i'm choppy and underwater, i only sound choppy :-(.

Gonna try the pure Alltel ROM later tonight to see if its any better.

Problems with Palringo...
 

Okay, so I figured I'd give this little app a try. I went to the site, and it mentioned that you have to register on their site first.

It won't let me... It's so freakin' obnoxious! EVERY SINGLE e-mail address that I enter just gets the response, "E-Mail Address is Invalid" or some crap like that. Does anyone have ANY IDEA how to make this stupid thing work, or is there a better FREE app for messeging out there?!

Palringo is a very nice application...I use it all the time. It could be that their website is experiencing problems. Check back in a day and see what's up.

Also make sure that you're there's not some sort of "terms & conditions" box that needs to be checked.

Palringo's Latest Update FINALLY allows taskbar toggle!
 

Havent seen this mentioned yet but a few days ago my palringo updated itself and when i went into the options menu, there is now a toggle to remove the palringo logo from the taskbar on the today screen!!

that was one of my biggest knocks against this app cause it was very annoying to not be able to permanently remove it, now they've finally changed this!

so download it and enjoy!

Me too, it's my favorite app of its kind. Easily. And now that the tray icon is gone, I can even leave it running :)

Any way to change the alert on this bad *** application? Thats my only problem I'm missing messages.
Registration seams to went easy for me. I downloaded it, signed up and was signed in 2 minutes later.
If someone wants to add me PM me for my handle or check the ppcgeeks group room..

I've never heard of anyone being able to modify/change the alert sound. But that of course doesn't mean it can't be done.
