Re: palringo problems

you use the one that is with the email address you signed up with. BUT if you have a Alltel 6800 you can tell Palringo good bye because it wont connect. this is an on going issue and has been since the Alltel 6800 came out.

The files in the first post a pretty old. Your best bet is to just go to Palringo.com and follow all of their on-screen instructions. That way you'll be sure to get the latest and greatest from them.

I did it and wow. This is pretty freaking sweet. My only complaint (so far) is that the desktop client seems to be a bit slow for transferring instant messages on aim. I have not tried the others, but in comparison to pidgin I do no tknow if I can stomach that.

It seems to work well on the phone in that I can remain logged in and still get a phone call. It automatically logs out and logs back on. It is zapping my battery though.

Open Palringo on your phone and in Palringo select Menu/Settings. Then select "Power/Data Saving Mode".

I can go all day with Palringo active and really not notice too much of an impact. But of course a lot depends on numerous other factors.
