Update 2010, 07-19 Google Maps, Windows Live, Bing links

Did anyone else have a problem deleting the older version? I now have two live search options the old one and the new one.

Every time I went to my old LiveSearch shortcut from the Start menu and/or Ultimate Launch, I couldn't figure out why it still had the "Client Update available" in the menu.... went into "remove programs" and uninstalled LiveSearch... but the shortcut still worked!

Investigated a little further, realized that the original link was to Windows\LiveSearch.exe.... the new LiveSearch installed itself to Program Files\LiveSearch\LiveSearch.exe...

Bottom line is, make sure you update your shortcuts if you want to use the newest version. I assume the Windows folder version came with the WM6.1 ROM...

I installed the update and now my movie listings only includes one local theater. The others listed are as far away as 150 miles! I tried switching to several other local cities but that does not fix the problem.

What gives? Any ideas for fixing this problem?

I noticed something kind of similar... i have more than 1 local show up, but quite a few of the ones right near my house are missing from the list... definitely odd....

I have the HTC Touch from Sprint and the this does not remove the previous installation. So I have two shortcuts "Live Search" and "LiveSearch" and they launch different versions.

If your phone came with or you have installed a ROM that includes Microsoft Live Search, the application is probably in the Windows directory and part of the read-only ROM image. The installer from Microsoft is going to install to \Program Files\Live Search directory.

Just ensure that both links point to the \Program Files\Live Search path or you can delete the shortcut that launches the old version of Live Search.

I solved the problem by going to file explore>windows>start menu>programs than delete ms live search.

But is there a way to uninstall the old one, so there is only the new one and not the old one on my phone?
