That depends. The list of applications that can be uninstalled is available in:

Settings -> System -> Remove Programs

If the old version does not appear in this list, then it can most likely not be uninstalled.

I have a HTC sprint Touch running Manilla 2d and windows 6.1. Since i installed manilla 2d not all of my programs are included in the "remove programs list". I solved the problem of two live search icons by doing what i mentioned before "I solved the problem by going to file explore>windows>start menu>programs than delete ms live search" From this point you can reinstall the new version and you'll have only one icon. IT WORKED FOR ME! when your done thanks would be nice.

You can't remove anything that is baked into the ROM. Sorry but your only option is to delete the start menu entry, as mentioned.

Anyway, I received the popup to update... nothing terribly noticeable other than the fast start time. *shrugs*

Re: Microsoft Live Search - Updated

Let's see...

1) defitly faster load time
2) uses a little less memory when running
3) new menu item under the veiw options when you are in maps "show lat/lon"
4) still shows the same theaters for me

It's a keeper!

Re: Microsoft Live Search - Updated

I like it. Used it on a road trip monday and it works great. The maps center on gps function is good for not getting lost out in the boonies of SW Louisiana! LOL!

All you have to do is rename the program to live search instead of livesearch. Do this "before" updating to the newer version. Works perfectly. You will then have only one icon, thus one program. Follow the same path above to find it. If you so happened to not keep live search in your start menu, put it back there to rename it. That was the only way I could find it as I had replaced it with another program in my start menu. Hope this helps.
