Re: Kinoma media player

I apologize if this has been addressed, I scanned and skimmed and couldn't find the answer. It's my understanding that there is a free-restricted version of this app, does that version still allow the orb feature or do you have to pay for that? Thanks in advance

I would love to agree with you but the explanation is simple. Kinoma doesn't provide a changelog because they don't update their product anymore. At least it seems that way. Early December was there last update. 5.0.70 is what shows as current on my phone and I have to agree with Drybonz, their website does not show a changelog to see what the current version is or what has been changed. It is a shame, I was so supportive of their product and even purchased the full version because I believed it was the right thing to do to support an application that I really got a lot out of. I'm starting to think that was a mistake. While I still love the app I'm starting to think it might not be the best player anymore. There are a few things that I'm still waiting to have fixed or improved and since it's been so long, I'm starting to think I might just be better off looking elsewhere.

im gonna have to agree with you on the whole updating thing. its a great player, but not quite perfect. i love its shoutcast support. but its orb support leaves much to be desired. i still have to go to IE and select the video i want to watch in orb to be able to watch the video at the best quality. the only reason i purchased it was because i believed it would play orb better than anything else. and on this front, kinoma has failed. i sure do hope the release a new version soon to adress some of my concernes as long with other peoples. heres HOPING!

No kidding. I bought this product last year, but I definitely WOULD NOT buy it again & have steered numerous other people away from it.

There are plenty of other programs out there now that have caught up with or p***** KP in functionality & a lot of them are free.

$30 is an exorbitant price for an app that hasn't had a bug update since last year......(& it most definitely needs one).
