Maybe download a fresh copy of activsync from microsoft and do a clean install?

Well i had uninstalled 4.2 before i installed 4.5. I just hard reset my touch and now i have it plugged in and both the pc and the touch say synchronizing, but the status bar on the touch is still completely empty, activsync doesnt even have the bar. and its not doing the "looking for changes" part either. they have been in this state for roughly five minutes....
Edit: pc just dropped connection from activsync and touch still trying to synchronize. |

no problem, i'm not sure why but this seems to happen but on occassion when my Mogul won't connect, i just uninstall, redownload, and reinstall as needed; a little inconvenient but works

I should have thought of that, i used to have to keep the install program foe Activesync on my desktop, because with my blue angel i had to reinstall it everytime i wanted to sync. that was a real pain.

do you set up a partnership or let it sync as a 'guest'. the computer i use seems to only do it when i go through several syncs as a guest. anytime i've actually let it set up a partnership for long term use its ok

Actually these days i have a MacBook as my primary computer so i dont sync that often. Got pimBACKUP and Dashwire to cover me.
